1.5 hp Hayward Power Flo pump. It was working fine, unplugged to clear filter basket. When plugging back in it only makes a humming noise and does not pump. Took plate off back and it appears to be clean and not rusty, any ideas what this could be or do I just buy a new one?

The start switch is dirty, needs to be cleaned, or the start capacitor is week or bad . carfully clean the switch first, use the sandpaper off a match book to clean the points

Not blowing out good water presure

make sure your filter is clean. put it on bypass if possible to see if that is where the restriction is.
it is also possible that some debris has found its way into the impeller and reducing the pump efficiency. unplug the pump and put your finger into the wet end of the pump (remove basket first). if you can feel leaves or twigs, then you will have to open the pump and clean the impeller

Pump is making humming noise but not turning on. This happened after a breaker blu. I reset breaker and this is what happened.

This may just be the start celonide. Look's like a "D" battery or bigger in the back of the motor or on the top in a half round case. It is ment to boost the power to start the motor turning. If it bad the motor just humms till the breaker blows. Sounds like just what you have.

System runs fine until trying to vacuum

Pull the strainer basket out of the pump and reach into the intake of the pump at the bottom of the basin. If any debris gets into this area, the pump will not have great suction. The baskets and pipes etc will appear in good condition, but if the intake is plugged up, this could be your problem.

Pump makes clicking noise when powered up ?

Clicking?... not knowing which clicking noise you are hearing, I will run down the most likely on a new pump.
1. When wiring the motor you may have left a wire in close proximity to the centrifical start capacitor switch. It spins at high RPMs and can be hitting a wire not properly tucked in
2. Most pool pumps are dual voltage. If you wired motor for wrong voltage than that being delivered, the motors can sometimes make noises. Clicking isn't most common, but the vibrating hum of incorrect voltage might be interpreted as a clicking noise.
3.check to make sure no wire ties, or plastic stringy tag holding devices were left in the pump intake basket.
