Question about Belkin (F5D7011) 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter

2 Answers

Hi, I just bought a Belkin Wireless G Notebook Card and having install trouble.

I can't get the light to come on the card in fact after looking inside of my Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook I can see that it's designed different. So other words it will not plug into the computer. I also didn't buy a router but already have a DSL connection. Should I take it back and get another one? Thanks.

Dell inspiron 1501 work fine turn off last night now wont turn on

You mentioned trying a different battery, try a different AC adapter.

When plugging in the ac adapter to the wall, see if the POWER LED comes on on the adapter, then when you connect it to the computer, see if the LED stays on.

If the issue occurs with both AC adapters (No battery installed) then the motherboard has failed. If one ac adapter works but the other doesn't then the adapter is bad

Enable my dell inspiron 1501 bluetooth

I looked over the system configurations for the Inspiron 1501, and it doesn't have Bluetooth capabilities built into it. The 1520 series does, but not the 1501. The only way you're going to be able to add Bluetooth technology is to purchase a Bluetooth usb adapter. Here's a link to the 1501 manuals if you would like to look over them.
