Tonight my boy friend accidentally knocked over the tv. the bottom metal base came off and there are multiple bands of horizontally in different colors that keep coming up on the picture. You can see the picture for a few minutes and then all but the very top of the tv is filled with the bands of horizontal colored lines. Can this be repaired or is it even worth trying to have it repaired

Sorry this tv have damages cracks on the LCD screen panel already.Tv have to replace the whole LCD screen panel to repair it.As the LCD screen panel are 90% important to the tv and very limited in production.Buy and replaced only by the tvs corporations only, cost the same as a new tv.This tv now not worth as a whole tv anymore, all these tvs in this situation alway end up as salvages tvs as for spare electronic PCB boards for other tvs only.Time to buy a new tv make the boy friend pay some money too, because he cause the accident.

Tv was knocked over now the picture comes on and off, with wide band of different colored horizontal lines flashing on and off can this be fixed or is it just better to buy an another tv

How much did it cost you? Repairing it will cost about 300 dollars if it is a flatsreen, and if it an old CRT, good luck finding someone to actually repair it. Not Likely. It is up to you but It will need to be replaced/repaired.
Hope this helps

My tascam us144mk2 works great only problem is my headphones only play in left ear i have a pair with 1/8" plug so i bought a 1/4" adapter and only have sound in one ear i've tried multiple...

Double check that the adapter you bought is designed for stereo. The easiest way to check this is count the number of metal bands you can see on the adapter, stereo headphones will have 3 metal bands separated by 2 plastic bands, whereas mono will have 2 metal bands separated by a plastic band.
If you accidentally bought a mono adapter, this will cause sound to only play in one ear.

Re-assembly of 99 Blazer mirror to windshield

This is a relatively easy task, the bulk of the work has been for you. The rear view mirror assembly simply slides onto that metal block that was glued to your windshield. Your mirror mount (the part that slides onto the metal bracket) may be cut differently or shaped different from the rest of that part. you simply need to line that up with the metal mount on your windshield. slide the mirror on and tighten down the set screw if you have one. I've listed the steps below

1. find the base mount for your mirror (this is the bottom of the mirror that sits on the windshield)

2. look for a cut out or flat part of the mirror base.

3. line the flat part of the mirror base with the metal mount bracket on the windshield.

4. slide the mirror onto the metal bracket (this may require you to wiggle while you slide the mirror onto the metal bracket).

5. tighten the set screw on the mirror base ( this is important because your mirror will vibrate off the bracket if you don't.

Note some mirrors slide from the bottom of metal mount bracket and some slide from the top. it sort of depends on the manufacturer and/or the way the bracket was installed.

Hope this helps

For common TV horizontal problem ;i.e : White line accross the horizontal screen, horizontal band,etc..it's can solved by replacing the IC Vertical/Transistor, and olso to replace the cap nearest the IC.

Black Horizontal Lines on Philips Cineos 50" Plasma

First you want to determine if the issue affects the tv's menu if it does you are looking at a Light Engine issue which is expensive if it does not interfere with the On Screen Display the issue is with your signal board, also check to see if this happens on multiple inputs with multiple signal sources if it doesn't you just might want to use a different input which is a way cheaper solution
