Im having problems with my brand new Westinghouse LD4255VX. i bought it tonight, took it home and took it out of the box. at first it turned on fine, then got to about the 3rd step in the setup menu and the screen went blank and now there is nothing, just blackness.

Nicole; check the alternator belt, loose,worn, is it still there and on.
If battery is new and connections are good, and belt is good, probably a bad alternator. Alternator cost $125 to $200, labor $60-$120

If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

The question is can it be seen with a normal image on screen, if its a month old take it back and get it exchanged or fixed, the problem you will encounter with this brand is if no extended warranty when the maker warranty ends it becomes a throwaway set, no parts and company has gone out of business at least two times, not a quality set.

The next time it won.t start tap on the PCM and if it starts then replace the PCM.There has been problems with the PCM.s on these jeeps.

I took the printer back to staples and returned it. exchanged it for a new printer.

when I brought it home, the new cartridges worked just fine. It was not the cartridges, it was the printer's problem. Thenk goodness i bought and extended warranty on the printer.

The cartridges were brand new and name brand so it didn't make sense that it could be that all 4 brand new cartridges were having a problem!

Well, obviously I didn't have "problem", so perhaps no one bothered to reply. Anyway for anyone interested. I just took this baby out of the box and connected it to my NOT hi-def cable box which was already connected to my tuner, speakers and dvd player which made things very easy. Even without the hi-def cable box which I'm picking up today, to my unaccustomed eye, the SD channels were beautiful. I'm in love and cannot wait to get the hi-def channels today.
