Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Error 37 I just bought this TV knowing it had a fan issue. Of the three fans in the back of my TV (Looking at it from the back with the rear cover removed) the fan on the left immediately comes on as soon as I plug it in and stays on. The green timer light blinks rapidly for about 55 seconds and then stops. As soon as I hit the power button to turn on the TV the status timer light come back on green for about 3-5 seconds solid this time and then turns off, also turning off that fan. As the status light starts blinking 1 long and 3 short. I then proceed to hold down the DEVICE and MENU buttons and I get the error code 37 via the green timer light. I know that code means the exhaust or lamp ballast fan has stopped. Please let me know if I just need to replace the fans or if they stopped due to a larger issue. Thank you for your time, my email is [email protected] i will be looking forward to your assistance Josh

When I hit the power button the power supply clicks on for about 3-5 seconds and then clicks back off. I have left it unplugged, reset it and it is always the same result.

As soon as it clicks back off the status light starts blinking. One long and then three short. If I hold the device and menu buttons down the green timer light blinks the error code 37. also when the power supply clicks back off the fans shut off.

other than mitsubishi where could I get one of those? also are they very diffucult to replace? Lastly, is it the faulty power supply that is making it think there is an issue with the fans?

My tv will play for 1 or 2 hours then the power turns off bye itself then after 20 or 30 minutes it can be turned back on what couses this?

Thermal issue for sure. I would try removing the rear cover and place a fan that blows on the boards to see if it keeps running. If it does then you can isolate the component that has a thermal issue with component kool. But try the fan trick first, then if you need assistance with using component cooler properly let me know and i will assist you on it.

I have a samsung dlp. In the past 3 months I have replaced a ballast, lamp and a color wheel. After lamp replacement tv worked great for three weeks. Now TV comes on great but turns off after about two...

It could be that a cooling fan is not operating correctly, allowing the unit to over heat, or the power supply board could be failing. I would remove lower rear cover and see if fan(s) are turning.

Hi there.. ..

The problem is if you want to change it you need to disarm all the in the front and remove the screen and in the back so you can get the fan.

here is a image of the fan and TV lamp..

i will attach a link of a website that you can buy at a good price.

I keep getting Error code 48 Fan Failure Lock on our Xerox Phaser 7750

That is the fuser fan. It is either running slow or stalled.
You have to remove the rear and top cover to access it. It is located on the upper right back side of the machine looking from the rear.
You can remove the fan, peel off the silver label then remove the small rubber cap in the middle. Behind that rubber cap is the fan bearing, It is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
You can flush it with alcohol then add a highly refined oil to that bearing, Replace the rubber cap and then clean the outside with alcohol, then put a small piece of tape over the rubber cap to keep it in place. Most of the time. I would say 75 % of the time that will fix the problem. If it doesn't fix it in the long term you wol have to replace the fan. Don't call Xerox directly, Go onto google and look up a business called " the parts drop". Call them and ask for Britt or Joe> I dont work for them, but have purchased parts from them for years. They are reliable, fairly priced and honest. Great people to do business with.

My tv is blinking red in the power indicator 4 times on my KDS-50A2000

I had the same problem. Red LED blinking 4 times. This error means that one of the fans is NOT spinning! To check.... unplug the tv.... turn the TV around to a well lighted area so that you can see the fans in the back... plug the TV in and turn it on. Watch for the fans in the back... and see if they are spinning. If not... that is the reason why the TV will not turn on! In my case, the fan next to the lamp was stuck for some reason. I removed the the cover of the TV from the back... and cleaned the fan, made sure all connectors to it were properly connected... and viola! The TV is perfect again! Enjoy!

TV won't turn on

problem is fan stoppage this is probable caused by excessive
dust in fan take off back and locate visually the cooling fans in unit
use canned air to remove dust until fan moves freely. if all fans
are clean maybe one fan is not giving rotation detect signal
look at voltage on white or yellow wire from fan s/b 5v then 0v
when fan rotates if one stays at 5v replace it

TV turns off after aboiut 2 hours of uninterrupted play

There is a software patch availabe to increase the thermal cut off temperature. Can only be programmed using the Loewe Cablemax kit. Another solution is that the fans at the back all blow into the tv, reverse one of these fans, this gives a flow through the cavity. Remember to remove the filter from the one you reverse.

TV won't turn on, no status lights, nothing.

urn on you tv after it goes off
go to front press menu and device at same time
it will recycle and the green will start flashing
count the cycles a three flash pause and than a 7 flash
will mean a bad fan
there is fan in the back that cools a heat sink
it is easy to get to
sometimes the connection goes bad
you can check your fan
dont order one from mit
this is a standard 3 wire 50mm x50mm computer heat sink fan
take yours out and find one to match
cost about 6-8 dollars unless you have laying form old computers
you have to take off the plastic cover in the back no big deal
with cover off yu will see a metal cover looks like a tunnel at the bottom
three screws removes it wires are under
after removal you will see the fan and heat sink
put you filter on the side back on with the two screws
so that the tv will start plug it back in turn power and see if the fan spins
if not check connects no run after that
than replace this fan
mine worked fine with new fan
if need more help you email me at [email protected]
