This scanner does not have a driver that is supported in windows 7. You could try to install windows XP mode in windows 7, and install it from there, drivers for windows xp is available from canons homepage.

I am sorry my dear friend but there is no windows 7 driver for Canon CanoScan FB636U Flatbed Scanner. If you really wanted to use your scanner you have to downgrade your operating system. This scanner supports the following operating systems.
There is a way to make the old canoscan series work on any operating
system. You need a program called "vuescan" look around and you will
find it. Download and install it then hook the scanner up and it should
function under this program.
The canon website says
Regrettably, your product will not be supported in the Vista or Vista64 operating systems. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
