Turnin On Well im havin trouble turnin on my television. When i turn it off it doesnt want to turn back on and when i press the button to turn it on the light on the button stays flashing. the television is from 10/23/2001

The problem I have is that i would turn the tv on but there was no picture, the on light on the on button would come on but no picture(it was black and no sound). I removed the back panel and right next the the outlet cord I took out two of the small white tube, as I was trying to take out the third tube there was a spark. I had the tv unplugged from the wall, so I don't understand that but I was using a small metal screw driver to lift them out. Now I can't get anything to come on. Can you please help me. The tv was bought in 2004, I am in the army so it has been in storage for about a year don't know what is wrong with it. It was working when I first came back from Iraq. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem, however we removed the back panel and right next the the outlet cord, you will find a small white tube, we just took it out and put it back in.
