Try blowing the printer out with a can of compressed air. Tiny bits of paper will often get stuck in the "eye" of the optical reader that tells the printer that it has a jam. Compressed air can blow this debris loose.
Another thing to double-check is the paper tray. Remove the paper tray and inspect the place where the paper gets pulled into the printer. Sometimes you will find a sheet of paper stuck there that isn't readily apparent anywhere else.
Try either of the following methods to clear the paper jam. The operator panel displays the Ready message when the jam is cleared.Method A:
Press Paper Rewind until the Paper Empty message appears.
Press Paper Advance to re-load the paper into the printer. The printer advances the paper, then cuts and discharges about 24 in. (61 cm) of blank paper. This reduces the possibility of fingerprints or other damage to the prints.
Method B:
Turn off the printer and open the upper cover.
Remove the ribbon from the printer. Caution: Prevent damage to the printer. Do not pull abruptly on the paper.
Slowly and carefully pull the jammed paper out of the printer.
Cut off any damaged or printed areas of the paper. Do not damage or mark any of the rollers.
Close the upper cover and turn on the printer.
Press Paper Rewind to rewind the paper into the printer. Note: If the Paper Jam message still appears on the operator panel, press Paper Rewind again.
Open the upper cover and reload the ribbon.
Close the cover.
Reload the paper.
Note: If the Paper Jam message still displays on the operator panel, and you are at the end of a paper roll, it is possible that a segment of paper is too short to automatically exit the printer. Remove the front cleaning roller and remove the segment of paper.
the roller rubber that is pulling the paper has a problem either it is worn out or not rotating you can have a visual inspection on the paper tray observe whether the rubber is rolling after you command a print..if not then you need to open the case of your printer and check for any brocken belts and gears that holds the rubber roller.
check also the switch that senses the paper feed at the tray it is a small switch that is triggered by the paper when you insert.
the message out of paper is cause by a time out of the paper to reach the printer head because of difficulty of feeding the paper the roller wont engage thats a out of paper message appear..good luck just post back if you have question
much appreciated if you cn click the 4 thumbs uo button for my effort this keeps me going!
Please turn the printer Off and then ON , till you see the error message of " Paper Jam" check all the flags on paper path, specially on Fuser Assembly.
. Turn printer OFF, pull all trays out gently,
Disconnect cables to network or PC. turn printer ON,
check the message gets repeated - paper Jam,
Conclusion : There is some bit and piece of paper activating flags,
take all toners out gently and transfer Drum, look into printer, and
lift the paper path under the toners, push the door a little bit and unscrew the paper path and can see a piece of paper on right side.. Pull the paper out and screw bach. put every thing back in their original status.
Now the printer will work and there will not be any papers..
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by
holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the
paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling
out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do
this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any
obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or
ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the
printer back on.
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

How long have you owned the printer. How long have you had this problem? Is the paper old? Sometimes storage of the paper causes humidity and can cause this problem. You might want to try newer paper or clean the rollers with some alcohol on a rag/cloth. If you need any other assistance let me know. If you have a moment to accept and rate my solution I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Lee
