Pump Problem with Calypso. I was getting the FL code on my washer so having read all the suggestions on the internet I removed the pump assembly and checked for obstructions, nada. Impeller is unobstructed. Motor spins freely. Replaced pump and motor assembly anyway since I didn't know what else to do. Still does not drain. Washer makes no noise when it should be draining, it just goes on to the next step and adds more water then we get back to the FL error code. I've tried the spin and drain test and it didn't train during the test either, it did spin though. What's my next move? Is it time for the trash heap? Thanks, Doug

FL Flood Condition FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

    Since that is the official code reading, I would check to find out if the pump is receiving the drain pulse for the 30 sec. If it is then you have a problem with your pump. If you are not getting a signal then your control board is suspect!

    If I was betting, I would say the control board is not sending the signal to the pump.

    I ran the spin and drain test. Got no reaction from the pump. Control board was my next thought also. Is there another way to check to see if the control board is sending the signal? Thanks, Doug

    If you have a volt meter you could see if a signal is being sent to the pump. I am trying to find what the voltage level of that signal is, but the web site I use doesn't go into that detail. I will do some more checking on another web site to see if I can find it. If we can figure out the voltage level, then you could disconnect the pump from the computer board and test the pump separately.
