Question about Filter Queen Majestic Canister Vacuum

My filter queen will not run and feels hot

The red light is on and it says when the red light is lit turn off, unplug, and consult manual, I inherited this one from my mother and do not have a manual. The vacuum will not run.. feels hot. Where can I find out the problem or an instruction manual?

You have got to be kidding me. you want me to pay for your advice after I paid over $2,000 for this vaccum. Not only that, the sales rep that sold the filter queen to me, stole my Oreck vac right out my livingroom. I did not realize until after he left that it was gone. He did mention at the beginnng of the demo that if I bought the filter queen he would take my other one. I had no intention of giving him my Oreck even though I did buy the filter queen. You sales reps go way to far.

Im a Filterqueen Associate. Majestics staring from 20 years ago have a double lifetime warranty. what that means is that if your majestic isnt working for whatever reason call the 1-800 number in your manual. they will do the labor for free to fix your machine no matter what it takes and they cannot charge you more then 99 dollars for parts, what that means is if the engine has to replaced then it wont cost you 500 bucks for the engine but 99 bucks.

Red exclamation light is on and brushes not turning


On my Electrolux Precision, the exclamation light indicates that it detected an obstruction and will stay lit until the obstruction is cleared AND the "reset" button is pushed. The reset button is on the black part (same side as the exclamation light) about half-way back on the side of the vac.

Should the red light on my 15.6v dustbuster turn green when it's fully charged? It doesn't.


I had the same issue, then i just found the manual, in charging part, it says:"The charging indicator will be lit as long as the
appliance is connected to the plugged-in
charger."
Also it says:"While charging, the charger may get warm, this is
perfectly normal and safe. It can remain on
charge indefinitely without damage or danger. It
is not possible to "overcharge" the battery cells
with the charger provided"

After turning on power , brush roller freezes and indicator light turns red


try turning the roller by hand UNPLUG VACUUM FIRST
it should turn very easy, otherwise it is binding
all uprights have this problem eventually
hair and fibers get in roller bushing and seize
luckily disassembling is relatively easy, same procedure as replacing the small belt that drives the roller. Take the extra step and take out the roller slip off bushings and clean everything

What's the "Service" LED for


Page 6 of the manual states,
"The Service LED is a red light

that comes on when service

is required. Please call an

Aerus location to perform a

service check on the CentraLux

(including the hose, wand and
power nozzle system)."

Red Light lit and it refers me to owner's manual.


Your problem could be many things, causing it to over heat, you need service by and Certified Tech. You can call the home office at 800-344-1840 to find an Authorized Service Center near you. Do not take it to a vac shop or you could end up with more problems than before.

Low tire light stays lit.


If there is a red reset button in the fuse box, press & hold till your air pressure light flashes off....do this with the key on, engine off

mine has a reset on the power head. alittle red button the back. if it is that old and worn out i would buy a refurbished one on like think i saw one for around $350. just search filter queen and u will find them

When I turn the machine on (both red and black switches) the red heat light goes on but the motor does not. If I leave the unit unplugged for a half hour or more, the unit will turn on. If I turn it off and then try a few seconds or minutes, the motor will not turn on.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It sounds to me that you may have a thermal switch problem – when the machine gets too hot it will shut off to protect the machine until it cools off and then it will re-start or if it gets hot or plugged. The one light could be for the heater and the other could be for the motor, but it is a good idea to check with the customer service dept @ Bissell to see if they have a better solution and also check in the trouble shooting part of the owner’s manual. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
