Question about Kenmore Dryers
My 13 year old gas dryer stopped heating today. The drum still turns, though. I checked the vent to see if it was clogged but it wasn't. Is it just old and needs replacing or is it fixable?
Try replacing the valve coils first, then the valve if the prior doesn't work. If there is a buzzing noise, I believe it's more likely the valve. I'm replacing both on mine to be sure.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
