Hi,
Remove the air inlet guard on the bottom by pressing the release and pulling down on the guard. It will tilt off. Remove the blower pipe from the front of the machine by pressing the tab and wiggling it off (It is usually a tighter fit than the air guard). Install the vacuum pipe on the air inlet, where the guard was removed. Install the bag where the air blower pipe was removed.

where is the release on this.... can't find it
Hi, W/D here. The easiest way to locate the tab on the part that you are going to put on. That is, if your aim is to remove the cover over the fan and apply the vacuum tube, look for the release on the tube, and match that up to the location on the fan cover. That said, your release will generally be located at the rear of the guard, close to where the cord connects, and should be marked with something similar to "push to release" on the tab. The air discharge nozzle is somewhat easier; look for the tab on the top of the tube, where it connects to the body of the blower.
Best regards, and I hope that this helps!

Thanks for this! I have my 850 since 95 and didn't use it much for blowing and never for vacuum. It still like new. Now that I'm retired I need it to pick up the leaves. I just bought a bag on ebay that I think will work. If not its duct tape time! Good luck with yours! Your question helped me twist my cover off too!
