Make sure your modem is plugged in, first and foremost.
Make sure your modem is connected to your Router with the Ethernet cable.
If you're unable to connect still, do a reset on both the modem and the router at the same time. Unplug both, wait for 30 seconds and plug them back in again.
If you are still unable to get an internet connection, right click your wireless connection in the toolbar on the bottom left (Assuming you're using a PC). Click "diagnose" and it will run through your connection, to identify the problem.
Follow the instructions on screen.
If you are still unable to get a connection after trying these, contact your ISP and have them reset the modem and walk you through wireless setup for their particular system.
