Why do music and videos sometimes go missing from ipod touch is it because of some applications

    I have the new update for the ipod touch. I just get the message "no content" in respect of music and videos and I then have to restore the ipod to get all my songs and videos back which is so frustrating. I did turn off the wi-fi last night and this morning my songs and videos are still there but that could just be a coincidence. I believe this is a problem that a lot of people seem to be having. Thanks for your help anyway.

Possible, have you updated your iPod using iTunes? because sometimes when the firmware on the iPod is old or has not been updated, this can happen.

Hi, message saying "can not sync" means that the connection from the ipod to the computer was not successful..
If you sync your iPod with a different/empty library iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from the iPod to the computer and everything else on it will be erased. If you want to recover the music from CDs etc that is on the iPod and transfer it to your new computer there are a few things you can do. music from CDs etc.) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod Touch or iPhone. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

One last thing, you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. Open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Prevent iPods and iPhones from syncing automatically" and choose Ok before connecting your device.

Once you have recovered everything from the iPod and your iTunes library has been rebuilt it will be safe to sync again.

if you have ALOT of pages fullll of apps and a bunch of videos pics and music then your ipod will be extra slow... just delete a couple of huge things eating up your space..

Ipod internet frozen


Use the Home button to exit the internet application. Listen to some music or browse pictures to make sure your ipod is working fine and then reopen the internet application. It should run smoothly.

How to sync .ipa files from computer to ipod?


iPod as in touch? If so then you just select the sync applications option in the tabs in iTunes. If you mean a 'standard' iPod then the applications aren't compatible so won't function - if you just want to transport them you need to enable disk use (disable automatic syncing within preferences, deselect 'sync when connected' and select 'manually manage music & videos' in iTunes, then under the music tab you can enable disk use. Your iPod will then appear as a hard drive and you can drag and drop your files onto it.
