I wanted to reset my device so i can put in a new playlist. I tried poking the reset button on the back with a thumbtack while it was off and nothing. I tried it while the device was on and nothing. Then i tried it while it was connected to my computer and nothing. And if i try to delete all of my songs on my device, then try to put in my new selection of playlists, the device would put the songs in random order rather than the order i put it in.
I am trying to remove songs from my GPX but I keep getting a message that says the songs are protected. I have tried over and over but I continue to get the same messageI am trying to remove songs from my GPX but I keep getting a message that says the songs are protected. Try this.... Reset Zune: Press and hold the back button while pressing up on the control pad. Are you creating playlists with Musicmatch or are you creating them directly on the DJ?
Let's say you have a playlist on your DJ and want to add a track to it. First, play the playlist. While it is playing, go to Music Library, find the track you want to add, select it with the thumbwheel, one of your choices in the menu that comes up is "Add to Selected". Select "Add to Selected". Now when the DJ reverts back to the screen showing the track being played. Hit the thumbwheel twice. A menu comes up. Select "Save as Playlist". Name it. Then delete your previous version of the playlist. Your new version will include the track (or tracks) you added.
Okay, that answered your specific question, but let me tell you it is much easier to build and organize, and yes, edit and/or add to your playlists from musicmatch.
After loading musicmatch, up near the top is a button called playlists. On its menu, select Playlist Manager. The window that opens has buttons that will let you create new playlists or modify old ones. You can dock your dj and edit the playlists on it from here or build playlists and then Send them to Portable Device (your DJ) Fairly easy.
There is a reset button on the back of the MP3 player. Use a paper clip and reset the player. It will keep everything and should "wake it up". Try plugging it back into the computer now.
Hope this helps!
Hi there, When you go into the ipod section on iTunes, click the music tab, make sure 'sync music' is checked and 'selected playlists:' is also, then check the playlist you want to use. Click 'sync' button
If that don't work go back to the summary tab and hit 'restore' and follow the instructions to reset the ipod, resync and all should be fine.
First you need to set your Sansa m250 mp3 player to MTP mode:
) Tap your menu button and select "Settings" > "USB". 2) On this screen, make sure that there is a check next to "Auto Detect" and NOT "MSC".
Note: Music that was transferred to the player in "MSC" (Mass Storage Class) mode will not be accessible once the player is put into MTP mode.
However, the music can still be accessed by switching the player back to MSC mode.
To transfer a playlist using Windows Media Player version 10:
- Make sure device is showing as an "audio device" and in MTP mode - Create a playlist by right clicking a song in the library, add to>additional playlists>new or by saving a now playing list - Select the Sync tab and click "Sync settings" - Check "Synchronize device automatically" - Set "View" to "All Playlists" - Place a check next to the playlists they want to transfer to device - Media Player should then sync those lists once you hit OK.
Once you Sync for the first time a new folder "Playlists" will appear in your m250 using Windows Explorer. Once that folder is created you can even use Windows Explorer alone to create playlists, all you have to do is right click on a song and choose create a playlist. Double click on playlist > Reference Tab, on the window you simply drag and drop your songs.
Let it recharge for a few hours - when an mp3 player won't turn off, use the reset button instead of letting the power drain down. Actually, i take it back - this is the worst most godawful manual I have ever seen - this is the first Mp3 player I have ever seen without a reset button.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
I am trying to remove songs from my GPX but I keep getting a message that says the songs are protected. I have tried over and over but I continue to get the same message
