If your 3 notebooks were already configured with router and then you used WPS to connect your blackberry, then it must have changed the wireless settings of the router, due to which the router and the 3 notebooks are not able to communicate now and due to that, the notebooks are showing acquring network address as they are not able to get an IP address of the router.
Solution: You need to open the interface of the router and check the new wireless settings and then put those wireless settings into your 3 notebooks. You may use this link for detailed instructions, or you may also chat with the technician available for chat on that website.
Check or Change WirelessPassword
The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key.
The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings.
To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.
So the desktop is working with the wired connection.
That means the wired part of the router is working . you will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
For this you will need to access the router set up page.
When you try to connect to the wireless network , Do you get any message ?
Or you are not able to see any wireless network ?
The message will be important to identify the problem.
First try to connect to the wireless network on the laptop.
Try to change the wireless channel on the router.
That may help you.

Under the DHCP settings, make sure that there is enough IP addresses for the router to assign. Although DHCP is somewhat "automatic" if there is not a sufficient range of IP addresses for the DHCP server to assign, then only a small number of clients can connect. See this page here: http://support.dlink.com/emulators/di524/h_dhcp.html
Also make sure that your notebooks are not set to the same static IP address, only one device can connect to a specific IP address. To check this under Windows XP, Right-click your wireless network connection and select "Status" then "Properties". Highlight the "Internet Protocol TCP/IP" and select "Properties". Make sure that the radio buttons "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected. Click OK and OK to close the windows and save the settings.
I would also unplug the router, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and try to reconnect. Sometimes for whatever reason, the routers memory can get corrupted, (just like a computer) and need to be restarted.
hi i would suggest to access your routers setuppage and set the channel to channel 11.
make sure also if your wireless network is secured, type the correct key those things are case sensitive.
to access the routers setuppage go to a computers that is connected to your linksys router (wired) then launch IE on the address bar type 192.168.1.1(this is the routers ip) then it will ask you for username and password for the username dont type any thing for the password type admin.
when your on the setuppage click on wireless tab. while on the wireless page set the channel to 11.
after that click apply or save settings on the page.
then after that try to connect to your wireless network on your laptop.
for further help you can call linksys hot line 1800-3267114
they will surely help you with this.
First is to turn on the physical WIFI switch on the notebook. Usually for sattelite it is in the front of the unit. Then after, since I believe it is on vista (or even on XP) you will click on start, then connect to, then it should give you a window that you could see your router, highlight your router, click on connect, it will ask for a passphrase or network key if your router is secured, just type it in and it should be connected successfully. That should be it.
Type in the address of your router - you say that is set to192.168.1.254 and you will see the config page( after logging in ) for your router. This is more usually 192.168.1.1 though .
