Hi, i have a zanussi timeline 1400 washing machine.. I have recently moved house, and when i went to use the washing machine after plumbing it in, it now says E51 error on the screen.. What is the cause of this? And can i fix it?

no agitation check timer and control board. but more likely culprit is the water pressure switch. Which determines water level and when machine goes into agitation mode?

Try this..
Reading Error Codes 1. Wake the washer by pressing any button. 2. Wait 5 seconds. 3. Press and hold the START/PAUSE and CANCEL buttons simultaneously. As long as the buttons are held, the failure code will appear in the display as an "E" followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or two letters. The control will beep and the Door Lock, Wash, Rinse, and Final Spin indicator lights will flash. let me know what code come up.

there is a program fault on the bord,,,

I suggest that you check and clean the filter.
This should be located at the bottom front right of washer behind drop down cover or flap. Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean

on my mums zanussi,, after opening door, machine had not drained and spined, closed door again could not get machine to go,, this time could not get door opened..there is power to machine.

E20 and E10

i am a recently retired engineer of 20 years, and i have found that generally the numbers and letters are the same throughout, so the number 2 on one machine is the same as the number 2 on another make, so this rule applies for letters also, just remember what you used on your old machine and you cant go far wrong hope this helps
