Plug a USB cable into the back of the PSP and into your PC or Mac. The USB cable needs to have a Mini-B connector on one end (this plugs into the PSP), and a standard USB connector on the other (this plugs into the computer).

Scroll to the "Settings" icon on the home menu of your PSP.
Find the "USB Connection" icon in the "Settings" menu. Press the X button. Your PSP will display the words "USB Mode" and your PC or Mac will recognize it as a USB storage device.

Create a folder called "PSP" on the PSP Memory Stick (if there isn't one already) it shows up as "Portable Storage Device" or something similar (you can use Windows Explorer on a PC, or Finder on a Mac).

Create a folder called "MUSIC" inside the "PSP" folder.
Drag and drop image files into the "MUSIC" folder just as you would save files in another folder on your computer.

Disconnect your PSP by first clicking on "Safely Remove Hardware" on the bottom menu bar of a PC, or by "ejecting" the drive on the Mac (drag the icon into the trash). Then unplug the USB cable and press the circle button to return to the home menu.

Hope that helps.......

Conenct the PSP to USB and then set it to USB mode.

access your "my computer" then clcik on the PSP icon on your my computer screen

you will be able to see folders in there, one is music, just copy the music file from your computer then paste it in the "music folder in the PSP.

SOURCE: about music

i have placed an answer to your previous premium post, this may work as well as my first suggestion and Marked's.

  1. Connect the PSP to your PC with a USB cable. (about $10: buy a USB cable for your PSP)
  2. Press the "home" button on the PSP (it's a tiny button to the lower left of the screen) then use the left-right directional buttons to find "Settings", then the up-down buttons to find "USB Connection" on the PSP.
  3. Press the "X" button (you got it, the round button with the "X" on it) and your PSP should display "USB Connection".
  4. In a moment or two your computer should tell you that a new USB device has been connected, then show you a new generic hard drive, usually E: or F:
  5. Click on the drive letter that corresponds to the PSP unit.
  6. Now create a new folder on that drive and name it "psp".
  7. Within the new "psp" folder create another folder, and name it "music".
  8. Copy your desired mp3 files into the new "music" folder.
  9. When you're done copying your desired music tracks, press the "O" button on the PSP to get out of USB connect mode.

SOURCE: I want to put music, Movies, and videos on the PSP and dont know how. I want to put my things in my iTunes on the PSP. Can I do that and if so how?

I am not sure how to put them on from iTunes. But to put things on the PSP you need a memory card and either a USB cord to connect the PSP to the USB port in your computer or a SD card reader in your computer. After you have done either of those, you have to plug in either the PSP (with the memory card inserted in the PSP) or the memory card in SD card reader. Once you have done this, a screen should pop up on your computer, asking you how to open the files on the memory card or PSP. Select the one where the picture is a folder (should say browse) and open up the memory card folder. Open up the folder in your computer with the desired files. Highlight the files, right-click on the mouse and select Copy. Then go back to the memory card folder and right click on an open spot and select Paste. This should copy the files over, but, even though they copy over, that does not mean you can acess them through the PSP. That I know of, Microsoft Word files cannot be acessed through the PSP. That seems to be one of the only files unable to be used with the PSP.
