Picture on television keeps shuting on and off. I can still hear the station I can't see the picture. The television screen is black for 2 to 3 days then the picture will come back on.

The Inverter is the most likely cause replacing the inverter board should solve the issue. You can get a replacement board at www.tvcircuitboards.com if you dont see your model listed send them a email with your model number by hitting the contact us button on their website.
Hello kailuajacqui: It sounds like someone has turned on the picture in picture option on your Television. The reason it is a black screen is because it is not setup on a station or other input in order for you to see anything. Check your manual for how to turn off your PIP (Picture in Picture) option. Or just hit the PIP button on your remote control.

On the picture menu, you can select between 16:9, 4:3, zoom 1, zoom 2, etc. Depending on the station you are watching and whether or not it is an HD station, selecting zoom 1 or zoom 2 on your TV remote might give you full screen. Otherwise, on some DISH remotes there is a format or zoom button that will also change the size of the picture.
The tv have 1 or 2 long boards call the LCD inverter boards.These 1 or 2 long inverter boards are dead.That why the LCD screen not getting a backlight to produced a picture.Replaced those 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards,will get a baklight back and have picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com buy those refurbishes 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.
that's a picture inside a picture option, and it sounds like the inside picture is set for a blank channel...just go to the menu, and shut off the picture in a picture option..should do the trick..
