Mine was doing exactly the same. I turned off power, held down the 2 black buttons on right, switched back on and the start button flashes intermittently. It then allowed me to change programs, just testing it now!! It started, this was more then it was doing!! lol

I have the same problem. Try turning off the power switch, then while holding down the 2 black buttons on the right simultaneously, turn on the power switch. Mine defaults to to the 65 degree programme when I do this, but at least it works when I shut the door. I do not power off the machine between washes, just press the right black button to start and close the door. Hope this helps.

PS I have had Bosch appliances and Whirlpool appliances. Endless grief with Whirlpool (Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer and Dishwasher). Repair man here so often children calling him "daddy" etc. Left some Bosch built-ins behind with house moves. 14 years of trouble free service from them. Can't wait for this dishwasher to pack up so I can replace it with a Bosch. Price is not everything.

Try opening the door and holding the start button for 5 seconds to perform a reset. Then try to restart it.

The buzzer sounds and the rinses indicator light flashes and the programme sequence display " - - - " appears in the display. This occurs at the end of all programmes just as it starts to spin.

Hi - I will tell you whats wrong with the machine, but you will need to get someone familiar with Miele equipment to fix it for you.

On this particular series - Rinse LED flashing means 3 - 4 things could be wrong with the washer.

Tacho - generator is faulty
Drive fault - electrical problem
Motor - has issues with starting
Blockage - drains - drive unit
Restrictions - of the drum turning.
Electronics - may be a component with an intermittent failure/decay.

It would be either one of the above or a combination of 1 or the other...

Adg 3962 IX showing fault code f2 with flashing

The machine has a switch inside that activates when a set amount of water is loaded.
If this switch then breaks (switches off) during the wash the machine assumes that the water has leaked out.
Run it through a couple of washes, check for a leak and see how it goes.
Hopefully it will be fine.
F2 indicates a flooded base.

Press and hold the start button until the start light goes out. (This resets the appliance)
Select a new programme and try the machine again.

If it comes up with a fault F2, take the panel off below the door and check for water in the base.
Be careful when you take the panel off, the exposed edges are razor sharp.
Drain any water in the base, reset and try the machine again and watch for a leak through the inspection panel.

Whirlpool ADG 957 Dishwasher not draining water?

There is a remote possibility that the drain line is clogged. Most units should have an aerator on the top of the sink area HOWEVER some are hooked up directly into the garbage disposal and it's at that point where the line can be clogged. Remove the clamp and make sure the line is clear or the hole in the disposal is clear.

Whirlpool dishwasher ADG 957. The manual says " Open the door and turn on the water tap". Where is the water tap and what does it look like?

They mean to turn on your water faucet at the kitchen sink and let the water get hot before starting the dishwasher cycle this insures you start the wash with hot water.

We have a Whirlpool ADG 7560 dishwasher which has recently started playing up. When switched on for a normal wash, after a short time the machine starts to beep. If you open the door the green programme...

Sounds like something is becoming intermittent, but after the system warms up, the connection "holds." These are difficult to troubleshoot until the unit actually stops working. If the unit is in warranty or you have a service contract, it's definitely worth a call to your service center and schedule a home visit.
