The model number should be inside the area on the front that the cold air comes out. If not it will be located on the front bottom edge. Hope this helps
If this is a window unit it has to tilt a little to the back(outside) for the water to drain off the bottom back side. I am suspecting the unit is setting tilted toward the room a little. Look at that first. Hope I was of help to you!! Good luck!!
The compressor sounds like the springs inside are bad. You can live with this are get the compresor eplaced if it is over five years old buy a new unit. Compressor will cost more than a new unit. Russ
Try setting the Unit to run full out, set unit at 66* it maybe the lights flash to let you know the save ( power) is on ?. Otherwise look for the manual and troubleshooter page .
Does it run longer when it's cooler outside like at night? If it is, it could be shutting down on high pressure or temperature caused by dirty condenser or you could have an overload in the compressor wire box that is weak or has a loose connection. Check the condensor coil to see if its dirty and see if it has an overload on the compressor.
Some timer dials will not turn all the time they will sit for awhile then advance . If it don't move for a long time sounds like you have a bad timer motor. Some motors can be replaced and some you have to replace the complete timer.

if the stop button doesn't work,it continously run you can shut off circuit breaker for emergency shuting off.if this a proramable a/c unplug your a/c and put it back wait for 15 minutes .and try to run if still doesn't work your holding relay is shorted from control panel,try to call a service technician to check the actual control panel defective.have a nice day,don;t forget to rate me,thank's a lot.
