Help! I'm trying to print a configuration page on a WorkCentre M20i

Solution : Print a Connection Page (Network Connectivity Report / Configuration Page) NOTE: Print the Connection Page to locate the TCP/IP Address for the WorkCentre.

1. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. 'Machine Setup' will be displayed on the Display Screen.
   
   
2. Press the [Up or [Down] arrow button until 'Reports' is selected, and then press the [Enter] button.
3. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until 'Connect Page' is displayed, and then press the [Enter] button to print the report.
4. Press the [Stop] button to return to the Standby mode.

you can configure that by access the web page of the device > Properties > Services > email Settings > From field Options

Sound like the printer driver device is locked up. Try printing locally first and then on the network. Try reloading the lastest driver for each device.

You have to press the machine status button.
Scroll to" reports"then to "billing meter."
Then press enter and it will print out the total pages printed/copied.
There is no meter per se on the M20. You have to print out the reading on the report.

if you have tried all the reboot process, try...to remove all the software and reload, and try one computer linked for a test print.

toner or drum?? if toner the chip may be defective or wasnt changed at refill. if its the drum, print the help page to guide you to that section. and reset.

I would first of all Go to the Xerox.com site and go to Drivers and downloads for the M20i and install the newest firmware. I believe the current version is 3.4.
I believe your problem would be resolved in loading the newest machine firmware.

You can not scan with a M20i with an Ethernet cat 5 cable. It can ONLY be done via a USB or parallel cable.

If you don't believe me, which many on here wont accept the truth, here is the note from the Xerox documentation..

The WorkCentre can scan a document via Direct Scanning using a USB or Parallel Port connection only.

someone has gone into diagnostics and enabled Status Print Engine
Fix
1. press menu/exit key
2. enter # 1931 in that order
3. engine test(diagnostic) should be displayed
4. use arrow keys to scroll to, then select engine test(status print)
5. press enter
6. press the "2" key on numeric keypad to disable (status print)
7. machine will revert to Ready to Copy
8. power off and then back on the M20
9. Your done.
