Any iron can be cleaned by running a little water and vinegar through it several times, it loosens the scale build up that gets in all irons over time, be sure and try to clean out the venting steam holes in the face of the iron, Once you do this, run clean clear water through it and you should be fine, if possible, always use bottled water (purified) water in irons

Steam advantage iron has no steam coming out when ironing. Reservoir is full of water. some calcification showing on irons bottoms holes

you would probably get a better response if you didn't post your problem with your iron as a problem with your vacuum!

How to clean sunbeam ultra 60 platinum iron. Can't find instruction booklet!!!!!

Do you mean the Sunbeam Ultura 60 Platinum iron? Wipe the exterior of the iron with a damp soft cloth and then dry the iron. To clean the steam valve, turn the Steam/Dry dial to Clean so that the tip pops up. Gently scrub the tip of the valve with a steel wool pad moistened with warm water. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Replace the valve and turn clockwise to lock into place (reset the dial to Dry when storing the iron). Clean the steam holes of any build up, use a cotton wool tip moistened with methylated spirits. The teflon plate should be cleaned with the damp soft cloth, just like the rest of the exterior of the iron. If you have ironed a polyester that melted onto the iron, then iron a damp cotton cloth when the iron is hot.

The manual for several Ultura irons, including the 60, is available here: http://www.sunbeam.com.au/Pages/Browse/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=1485 . The link for the manual is in the center of the page above the Image Gallery.

I hope this helps.

I just bought a Tfal Ultimate Autoclean iron FV 9450. I am reading through the manual and trying to figure out all the parts and functions. I cannot figure out how to remove the anti calc valve. I...

Anti-calc valve wings (grip) located at #3 of the 1-15 labeled description diagram that is part of the instruction manual. The wings are on either side of the dry/steam control #4. Lift up on the wings (grips) and the dry/steam control will accompany it. The anti-calc valve is under this control. It's easy once you realize where the silly thing is actually located.

Theres water pouring out of my t fal iron's little holes when I begin to iron my shirt...why!

The iron needs to be cleaned as I have just discovered myself. I have a hinari and the instructions are as follows. Fill the water tank and turn the iron on to medium. When heated press the steam button and hold it over the sink or a container so that the water can run out of it. It will take sediments with it. The cleaning of the iron should be carried out once a month.

I experienced the same trouble and carried out the instructions and all is well again.
