WiFi just scans but does not find any available networks to connect to??;le

Hi, in Setup , look for network connection, WiFi type and then scan available networks, your wireless network should appear there .

Make sure your wifi light is on on your laptop. There should be a button with the wifi symbol or a switch. It will then scan for available networks for you.

Open your wifi on the phone and press and hold the wifi network that you want to connect to then click (modify) re-enter the security code for the wifi network again and then connect. If that does not work then the wifi signal is weak and you'll need to get closer to your router.

Another thing is to choose United States for your Wifi Region in the wifi advanced settings menu.
-- uncheck (avoid poor connections)
-- check scanning always available
-- Wifi Region Code (select United States)

To set up Wifi connection on HTC Smartphone:

1. Press HOME
2. Press MENU
3. Tap Settings then Wireless controls
4. Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone will scan for available wireless networks.
6. Tap Wi-Fi settings.
7. Select from the displayed network detected.
8. Tap a Wi-Fi network to connect. If you select an open network, you will be automatically connected to the network. If you select a secure network, enter the key and then tap Connect.

To connect to a WLAN via Wi-Fi™:

4. Tap a Wi-Fi™ network to connect to it. If you are trying to connect to a secured Wi-Fi™ network, you are asked to enter the security key for that Wi-Fi™ network before you can connect to it. The Wi-Fi™ connection is displayed in the status bar once you are connected.

Useful tip:

• The next time you connect to a Wi-Fi™ network, the phone will remember the security key.
• To enable Wi-Fi™ network notification of open networks, mark the Network notification checkbox.
• To connect to another Wi-Fi™ network, just tap another Wi-Fi™ network in the Wi-Fi networks list.
• To scan for Wi-Fi™ networks manually, press the Menu key and tap Scan. The phone scans for Wi-Fi™ networks and displays them in the Wi-Fi networks section.

To connect to the wireless network you need to click on
start->control panel->network connections
Right click on Wireless Network connection
Click on "View Available Wireless Network"
Then it should show you all the wireless networks available out of which you can select yours and connect. :-)

Hi,

The wifi connection on your htc phone can be accessed by going to the connection settings which is located under the phone settings on your S620.you will see the option which says turn on wifi in the sub menu under the wifi,simply click on turn on,and you are good to go.

The wifi connection will only work in a location where there is broadband internet connection network which is shared and can be accesed by wifi,which is irespective of the country.
When you turn on the wifi connection on your phone,it automatically scans for available networks and you will be prompted to connect to any of the available networks it recognizes,but if it doesn't get any available network it means there is no wifi connection in the location you are situated.

First you need to check you have wireless network working fine.Try connecting your laptop.
If yes then scan the wireles network From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, click the appropriate Wi-Fi network in your BlackBerry and type in valid network key (WEP OR WPA).

First make sure your WLAN is switch on. Next go to network settings -> Infrastructure Mode -> New Connection -> Scan. It should scan all available connections and compile a list, you should see your home network here, click it and proceed.
