My 19in lcd hdtv emerson wont stop turning the volume down by its self.And then i took my batteries out of the remote and it is still doing the same thing. i cant even press buttons on the remote. Also every time I turn it up on the the tv it turns back down and while the show is still going on all you see is the show you are watching and zero at the bottom for volume.

I DON'T KNOW. PLEASE CONSIDER TAKING REMOTE
FOR A WALK TO SEE IF THE REMOTE IS THE CAUSE.
IF YES, INSTALL FRESH BATTERIES. IF NO, SEARCH
FOR SOME OTHER ELECTRICAL SOURCE NEARBY THAT MAY BE SENDING A SIGNAL.

Emerson TV problem ' Techlore

I would try taking the TV apart and removing/re-seating the control panel and buttons. It could be that the mechanism of the buttons is jammed or damaged in some way. In many cases breaks and damage to plastic mechanisms in there can be repaired with a bit of super glue.

OPEN THE remote control, and clean the keypads from dirty, corrosion , bad contacts. Please do the same with the contacts batteries, and replace by new ones.

You can verify that the remote is working. Get a digital camera with a LCD display.
Aim the remote at the camera lens and press the volume and channel buttons. If you do not see
a flash through the camera the remote is bad or the batteries are dead.
If you know someone with any samsung hdtv remote, you can borrow it and try the volume/channel
to see if the tv remote receiver is good.

Hello! Your tv controls the volume if it jumps up to 60 after moving down it may be interference with the TV's remote sensor. Has anything changed i.e. new lighting ? Try calling Emerson at: 8002562487

Check for a stuck remote button. Take the batteries out of remotes and see if that stops it. If you have Dish Network, let me know.
