WT-1613 IT: Cannot get the westher centre to recieve signals from the transitter. Tried new batteries, set-up procedure, and moving weather station. Transmit/receiving icon flashes for while then goes out. Checked cables / OK. The unit worked for about 2 months then stopped. Any suggestions?

The transmitter may be mounted in a location subject to exposure to the elements or sunlight.

Sounds like it is not picking up the radio signal.
Try placing it in a window overnight where the radio signals do not get obstructed.

New la crosse technology wind speed weather station model # CA87092 set up.wind speed and outdoor temperature showed until this morning.new batteries used yesterday in setup. what is the problem?

The instructions for your station call for a specific set up procedure. Batteries should be installed in the transmitter first with time allowed for it to initialize and begin sending data. After installing batteries in the receiver, you should see wind speed and temperature displayed. BUT, here in the real world I have a Lacrosse receiver currently displaying a balmy 67 degrees inside and a not-so-balmy - - outside. I believe the alkaline batteries used in the transmitter lose efficiency or freeze at low temperatures. Warmer weather restores the outside temperature display.

I have a new weathr station and can not get the outside temp. to display what can I do?

I assume it is a wireless station. If so, there is a procedure to go through to get the temperature sender and the base station to sync up and work. You need to check your owners manual to get the exact procedure for your unit. On my station, I have to remove the battery from the base station, let it power up and within 5 minutes, install the battery in the remote station(s) (temperature, rain gauge, wind gauge, etc.). Also, you must keep the remote station within a certain range for the base to get a good signal. Probably 25 feet, but the owners manual will have the right number. Also, use new batteries.

Why can't I receive input from the outside sending unit?

Make sure that all the batteries are good!!
This procedure outlines the typical process to pair the sensor and base.
Base Station Battery Installation

·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station
·Position the remote sensor near the base station
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover.
·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected.

Register the Remote Sensor
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel
·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

hi,

does the outside humidity working ?

if yes - the outside station is transmitting but the temperature sensor is faulty,
if no sensing is available from the outside station, it look like the outside station is faulty . (this is common because of extreme weather change.
notice that the pressure sense is done in the base station.

No signal

Check the batteries, antenna and location of the base station in relationship to the sensors. Check each sensor's batteries and locations (not near large metal objects and high enough to send signals. Move the base station close to a window facing the remotes...

Cannot get the weather station model ws-916ou-it to show outside temperature

I have three of these WS-916OU-IT units. After a few years, the outside sensor just fails. You will get dashes and a "TR" low battery signal, even if the batteries are good
just buy another whole weather station (short money) and set both the old and new weather station unit to receive from the single new outdoor sensor.
To do this - just follow the procedure for a single sensor - that is - put the batteries in the new sensor - then within 30 seconds - put the batteries in all the weather stations - they will all pick up the same outdoor sensor.
I now have three units running off of one outdoor sensor.
Seems a bit silly, but it works.

Dashes in my outdoor weather reading of Oregon Scientific station

The signals are not being received by the main unit. Try to reposition the unit or move it to a different location. Also make sure the antenna is in the clear and not next to any thing like a cordess phone or charger as these can make RF noise that can block or cover the needed signals.
