Your tv is probably going into a "protection mode" this means something inside the set had failed. This is the tv's way of shutting down before more damage can occur. This could mean many different things that could have gone wrong with this unit. Your best bet is to call your local dealer and have them come out and look at it for you. Tearing apart tv's is very dangerous! Some sets have up to 30,000 volts on the anode! GOOD LUCK!

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

the lamp is simple; yet you can run into problems with this tv. be very careful replacing lamp. the plug in the tv can be damaged. (due to the design) lamp part #
try holding in the menu and input buttons together on the front panel for about 8 seconds to see if the self diagnosis feature will blink a two digt code then let me know what happens
