Sorry - - was this for the PSP . . .THE LINK DETAIL IS MISSING.
If so...Disconnect the battery, reconnect and switch it on whilst holding down both top two corner clear buttons. It should restart in recovery mode. Toggle down and select RECOVERY folder, then select. If this folder is corrupted you will have to get a copy off of the internet and replace it using the usb connector. This usually does the trick, if it will not start in recovery mode, it's a SONY job.

Default setting should already be set, as default. Any changes you make will change the default setting. If you need to go back to default setting you can factory reset which sets back to default setting.
Forgetting your PlayStation Portable password can be frustrating; it can limit how much you can do with your PSP device and disallow you to make changes to your settings. Here are some tips to changing your PSP password so that you can remember it and enjoy your PSP to its full extent.
1. To change your PSP password, you must first restore the default settings of your PSP.
2. From your welcome screen, choose "Settings." Under settings, choose "Restore Default Settings."
3.When you choose to restore the default settings, your password will be set back to the default password, which is 0000.
4. Return to the "Settings," and choose "Change Password." If you remembered your old password, you could enter it now, but if you've restored the default settings, enter in 0000 when the PSP prompts for your password.
5. You now have access to change your password to anything you'd like. Enter your chosen numbers and save them.
I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for choosing fixya.
To change the default printer settings or to restore the settings in your printer, click on the start menu, select Settings, and then select "Printers" from the menu that appears. After that you could right-click the printer that you would like to change settings for, and then select "Properties" from the menu that appears. This would open up a tabbed window that would display many settings that you can change. You could change the settings you need to change or there is another option that you would find to restore to defaults, this would allow you to set the default settings on your printer.
Restoring the factory-set defaults Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults. To restore the factory-set defaults 1 (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select Service, and then press Use the (SELECT). 2 (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) button to select Restore defaults, and then Use the press (SELECT).
