I've never worked on this model so I can't give you a definite part value or location, but you'll probably find a bad filter capacitor (or possibly more than one) in the power supply. The power supply converts the AC power line voltage to the DC (direct current) needed by the electronics. If the filter capcitors don't work, the result isn't smooth and steady, and the result is an annoying hum. You're probably hearing this.
It's possible to replace the bad capacitors, but it's not always easy. The people who make computer speakers don't often design them to be serviced, and sometimes it's a challenge getting into the power supply.
