I've lost the password to my router and I can't set up my computer

Log in to your NETGEAR router by browsing to
http://www.routerlogin.net/ or http://www.routerlogin.com./
Enter the username (admin) and password. By default, the password is password or 1234 unless it has already been changed.
If you cannot log into your router:
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults.
however, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
If it is not visible, you can change your wireless passphrase; however, changing the passphrase will cause you to lose your wireless connection.
Connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable before entering a new passphrase into the text box and Clicking Apply.
If there is a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings.

Try to check the password at the bottom of your Zyxel that is 8 characters long.

There are two ways of finding it:
1st - Check the sticker or box of router. You can find it near the serial number or mac address written. It is mentioned as PIN Number.
2nd - Login in the router page with default password and you can find it on settings page.

Since you reset the router, the username and password were set back to its default values as well. For Netgear, the username and password is: Username = admin Password = password

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. You will have to go into the routers setup and chose a new password, If it requires you to enter the old password before it allows you to enter a new one , you can find the tiny reset button on the router and press it to restore it to factory default settings, be advised though, this will reset All the settings for your router, not just the wireless password, so you will have to configure it all again.
