Question about Fitbit Weight Tracker

I have tried recharging my fitbit by docking it and it is still blank. I have tried using a pen and pushing the bottom - even turning the fitbit around on the docking and pushing it with a pen but still blank.

    fitbit started buzzing randomly and more often. Now it's using the battery much faster than normalAs it is buzzing so often it is also giving me steps even though I have taken it off my wrist

Hi ltmiya,

Resetting the device to its factory setting will determine if the problem is either a software or hardware failure. In your case, this is a hardware failure ( display issue ). You may try to contact fitbit support at [email protected] to have a service option.

In addition, you may try to reset the device again using the steps below.

1. Place the tracker on the base station.

2. Using a paper clip or a pen, push the button on the bottom of the base station.

3. Now, the tracker should restart and display the firmware version. Sometimes it's FITBIT ver 1.0..

Pushing the hole on the gadget is like resetting the unit. This usually fixed all problems that you might encounter to the unit, just like a reset button on the computer. If you already did that and there is no response from the unit, the problem is more of a hardware/internal issue. You might need to contact the manufacturer for repair or call the store and ask for replacement if it is still under warranty.

Did you check the FitBit web pages for information and troubleshooting regarding your FitBit not charging?

The last option listed on that web page is to contact FitBit Customer Service.

You may need to replace the battery in your FitBit. Note: Rechargeable batteries do not last forever and eventually need to be replaced.

How do I charge my fitbit zip battery?


You cannot charge the Fitbit Zip as it uses a coin battery.
The Fitbit Zip runs on a replaceable 3V coin battery, CR2025.
It can be found wherever batteries are sold.

Wireless just stopped working. Changed batteries,


The behavior described indicates weak/dead batteries. Logitech brags about the battery life on this model, but in reality battery life varys dramatically between invidual units. I've seen one that would not operate at all on Ni-Cad rechargable batteries (only 1.2 volts even at full charge). If you must use rechargeables, stick with NiMH (metal hydride). Better yet, use long life lithium.

Also, make sure the "Nano" receiver isn't sitting in the storage bin. This is one of two ways to power off the mouse. The other is the 'Clip N Go' dock.

Try soft reseting your phone. If that doesnt work then try hard reseting.  To soft reset take the stylus pen and push in the little hole on the bottom of the phone. You should feel a little click and then your phone will restart. Wait until your phone  starts up again and if it still isnt working then do a hard reset. 
 To hard reset, hold down the green send button and the red end call button at the same time and continue to hold them down as you then push your stylus pen into the hole on the bottom of the phone untill you feel the little click. Your phone should start to reset.  Be warned you will loose any information saved to the phones memory ie: phone numbers, pictures, personal settings. Anything saved to your memory card should be ok.
If your screen remains blank after trying both resets I would suggest taking it back to where you got it and and have them fix it or replace it.
