Question about Hotpoint Ultima WF840 Front Load Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Ultima WF840 won't go from wash to rinse cycle

My washing machine starts it's cycle fine and then as it's about to go into rinse mode it just stalls. The digital timer on the front just counts down the minutes and I end up cancelling that cycle and going for the rinse & spin cycle. This cycle is now stalling too with around 15 minutes remaining on the clock and then the timer goes back to 30 minutes - evenutally it works it's way through the cycle after a lot of clock jumping! Also, I've noticed it's leaking underneath and a little from each side at the front. I have taken out the dispenser drawer and thoroughly cleaned it as well as it's compartment. Any more ideas?

My washer does exactly the same things! Counter goes down to 1 min, but it hasn't rinsed or spun. Then it sits on 1 min forever unless you cancel it and put it on a seperate rinse and spin cycle. Mine is also leaking from the door and the drawer. We have checked and cleaned all the pipes and the door seal looks ok?

The pump is blocked, so the sensor detects that the machine has not emptied in the allocated time, so this will reset the time.... the pause is because it knows there is a probblem getting rid of water.

location: bottom right near the motor. ensure you tip the washer as far forward as you can so you can get a bucket under in order to prevent flooding.

hope this helps

Code F/o3 keeps coming up at the end of the cycle and machine just stops working

Error code F03 indicates that the wash thermistor is open or short circuit.
Check the connections to the thermistor

Hotpoint ultima super silent w f 840 shows fault 03

Code f03 means wash thermistor open circuit, this is normally part of the heating circuit, suggest you test heater and thermistos located in the end of the heater, and replace if necesscary. If heater o/k , then could be bad connection to control module, or broken wire, if still no joy, then call Hotpoint.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
