My hp psc1210 will not print black no matter what I try to do with it. It will however print 80% gray if I change the text to this instead.
Any suggestions please?
Gray print does not use black ink. It only uses the color cartridge. I assume you already changed the black cartridge. Make sure it is the right one for your printer and it is not a generic refill. The generic might be OK but I wouldn"t trust it complety. Make sure your cartridge is properly seated in the holder.

hp 1210 will not print black. Will print blue in color print, very, very, very slow.
I have the same problem. The cartridge in in the holder correctly and I even tried unplugging the printer, waiting an hour, then replugging the power cord back in to reset the printer. Still not printing black ink. Ink levels look ok also.
