Seal needs to be replaced around door. Make sure magnetic strip is tight against sides of refrigerator, even if you have to cut the outside so it lays flat against the sides.
Believe it or not you can fix this easily by giving the rubber gasket a good cleaning with a simple solution of baking soda and water.
They tend to lose their "magnetism" over time as they get dirty.
Take the door off. You will find a 1/4" screw every 3" to 5" all the way around the door. Remove every one of them. It amy take a couple trips around to get all of them. Before you attempt to install the gasket, soak it in hot water for about an hour (while you are removing the old gasket). This will soften the rubber so that you can work with it. After you have replaced the gasket and re-installed the door. Take a rag soaked in hot water and wipe it slowly around the gasket. This will warm it again. Now take Vaseline and smear a small amount all around the gasket. Close the door and let sit for 15 to 20 mins. Now take a dollar bill, open the door and close it on the bill so that a end of the bill is sticking out. Now pull the bill out slowly. The gasket should have a snug grip on the dollar. If not re-heat it then close the door so that the magnet will pull and stretch the gasket until it touches the box. Do this all around the door to insure that the rubber of the gasket has expanded and allowed the magnet to reach the fridge case. If you take your time, you should have no problem. Good luck

Check the seal of the rubber gasket, if there are improper seal of the magnet, pour hot water along it to soften the rubber. (be careful when handling hot water). When the rubber is soften, try to stretch it a little by pulling it. close the door and the magnet will keep the seal in place.
The spring is actually a door closure , are the wheels that the bar closure mechanism goes through and attaches to the spring moving freely?
It is entirely possible that a bin in the fridge is keeping the door open.
Usually the gasket does not lose its qualities; I would check along the hinge line, to see if the gasket has pulled loose, and is causing the binding. It can be poked back into place, or glued (only on the door side).
song to me door gasket was not properly installed, We using electric steamers to make rubber softer and good sticking. Right after door seal was replaced. Also, it could be that: a bottom door hinge parts broken /little white plastic cams damaged/,or, fridge not leveled or too heavy load on door shelfs.
Thank You. I will try that. ML
