Question about Haier HC61FBB Beverage Cooler

Open Question

Temperature not even and cans freezing and bursting

Hi
I have a Haier Beverage Center-the model is HC125FVS-It always freezes up in the back and has a coating of ice and the temperature inside is very uneven-the cans on the 2nd to bottom rack are the coolest while the others stay "tepid". I have tried many various temperatures from 3-6 with no success. Some of the cans get so cold they actually freeze up and burst while the others stay warm-can you tell me what might be wrong with it?

SOURCE: Freezer fan is not working

the fan may be jammed due to ice build up. in the first instance i would give the unit a full defrost for 48 hours then see if the fan starts after, if not the fan motor may be u/s.

SOURCE: Temperature gets and stays around 40 degrees then back freezes up

Have you checked the fins in the back to make sure that they are clean and not clogged with dust. If you have or you do not have any then your compressor is bad and you are best just throwing it away. If you have fins back there, use a spray bottle with hot water and put a towel under it and just spray and spray and spray until you can see through it with a flash light

Need beverage cooler to be colder

it probably has a leak & needs freon. in most cases there are no ports to check the freon level. you will have to add them. if you dont know how to do this it will be cheaper for you to go buy a new one vs. paying somone to fix it.

Water dispenser does not shut off

That is most likely a dual water control valve stuck open on back of refrigerator near floor. One side feeds ice maker and other side feeds the water dispenser. If the ice maker side began to leak slowly it would create quite a mess of ice flowing over ice maker and freeze every place it could inside the freezer. Is clicking on and off but does not cool or run

Sounds like an "overload and relay" on the compressor. This is the equivalent to a starter on a car. When they go bad, the compressor just does a "buzzzzz.. click" about every 5 to ten minutes. In the worst case, you may have a bad compressor, but this is less common. Hope this helps!

There is a tiny hole in the inside back and the freon gas leaked, is this repairable?

Hi:
It should be repairable. You would need a Heating/ Air Conditioning repair shop to silver solder the hole closed, and possibly sweat on a valve to evacuate and refill the system. I would call around and ask if the shops do this sort of thing. I had a similar repair done on a window air conditioner, and it saved me money!

I HAVE A HOLE IN THE REFRIG.LINE OF A HAIER MO.HC125FVS

Hi, unfortunate, sorry to hear that, but it could be repaired, you should immediately dried up water/ice around punctured area, prevent water/ moisture entering punctured area (evaporator. lines), it's one of the worst thing, that could happened to any refrigeration system, it will be costly to repaired, if water get into your evaporator lines, compressor oil have to be replaced, evaporator will need to be flush out, repair puncture, change filter drier, it's better to replace compressor, vacuum system for about 2hrs. then recharge. it's better to use welding/ soldering, to repair punctured line, epoxy repair kit can be used to repair punctured (evaporator) lines . you will have to call a mechanic, if very little water entered punctured( evaporator) lines, then flushing of evaporator, (internal cleaning of lines (tube) changing of filter drier, with overnight vacuuming will do the job. take note, job like this, cannot be guaranteed. check cost for repairs, sometimes it's better to purchase a new one, and save yourself some headaches.next time never use sharp instruments in your freezer, it happened to me sometimes, it's what you get your hands on, what's available at the moment, good luck.
