Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Keyboard lockup Keyboard is locked, so can't do master reset. Initial message on boot is voice record memory full. Phone will receive and transmit normally, just can't use keyboard. Need to do SW reset without keyboard. I have Motorola Phone Tools SW and USB cable connection. Please advise how to reset without keyboard. Thank you Bob

    Actually, I was able to unlock the keyboard by pressing * and # at the same time. Once I unlocked the keyboard, I reset the SW and cleared the voice recorder cache. Unit works fine now. I also, changed the soft key function on the right side of the unit so that the voice recorder was not inadvertently pressed again.

Have you checked with your service provider to see if there are known issues with this on your device? It may be due to a manufacturer glitch. And then maybe not. Different providers have different solutions. I, myself have not ran across this error with record memor full. The keyboard lock sounds like something specific to the settings on the device. It always helps to put the type of Motorola phone in so that technical reps can identify whether they are familiar and trained on this model phone. Ie. Motorola Razor v3m device would help to determine where to start in troubleshooting.

    Did you try pressing (menu + * (star) key to see if that will unlock your keypad?

    I promise this is my last post. If you are able to unlock your keypd by pressing the menu + star option, and you are still getting the "voice record memory full" prompt you might consider a master reset.

    Press the menu/ok key

    Select settings/tools

    Scroll to and select Initial setup and press menu/ok

    scroll down to master clear and press menu/ok

    enter security code (try 000000) if you don't know the code

    If this works, select yes by pressing right soft key

    This will clear out your phone and the phone will then diplay the home screen.

    * A master reset erases everything and resets it to manufacturer default settings. So make sure that you are okay with the loss of all contacts and applications on your device.

MEMORY IS FULL / SEE MANUAL (alternating messages)
The memory is full. You may have too many messages recorded in the answering machine. To erase messages, see below. This may occur during fax reception if too much data is received before the pages can be printed out. If faxes have been received to memory because printing is not possible (an additional message will indicate the problem), resolve the problem so that printing can continue (see Substitute Reception to Memory on page 66). If you are attempting to transmit from memory, see If the memory becomes full on page 57. If you are copying, see If MEMORY IS FULL appears on page 67.

Erasing received messages:
It is important to erase received messages after you listen to them to ensure
that the memory does not become full.
? Erasing all messages: To erase all messages, press FUNCTION, DELETE, and then START/MEMORY.
? Erasing a single message: To erase a single message, press DELETE while the message is being played.

If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned, MEMORY
IS FULL and SEE MANUAL will alternately appear in the display.
? Press START / MEMORY if you want to transmit the pages which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining pages will be ejected from the feeder. After transmission, the memory will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages. You will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when the memory filled up.
? Press STOP if you want to cancel the entire transmission.

I have a razor phone it displays inbox full. There is no messages in inbox.

Have you tried a master reset on the phone if not that may work. menu>settings>initial setup>master reset... do not select master clear as this will wipe the handheld of all its' memory.

hi there...go to initial set up then master reset your phone..the code is 0000
after that master clear your phone then code is the same in master reset 0000 wait till your phone completely sure your battery is charged...hope this will help you

Please try this:

Push the center button near the 4 arrows, this should bring up your menu, then arrow down to 7) TOOLS.

Select TOOLS, then arrow over to 3) VOICE RECORDS then select.

Push OPTIONS, then arrow down to Delete all. When prompted, to delete all, select YES.

You are done!

Can't clear call record

here's what you gotta do might fix ur problem,, go to menu, settings, initial set-up, hit the master clear code 000000, and fone boots just w8, then go to menu again, settings, initial set-up, master reser code 000000, fone boots just wait and ....done!

ok this will help you solve the problem... go to menu, settings, initiall set up, master clear code(000000) the phone will boot..just w8,., then go to menu again, settings, initial set up, master reset Code ( 000000)... boot.... just w8, and it gonna work out fine.... let me know..

Voice record memory full & screen froze

Are you able to get into the software to purge the voice records?

If not, it sounds like the phone needs to be "reflashed" at an authorized service centre. Take it where you bought it. It should not cost you if it is less than one year old (warranty).

I think your phone needs to get reflashed, but thats an extreme step. First, do a MASTER CLEAR or MASTER RESET or RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULTS. After that, if it still doesnt work get it checked out. The keypad may need replacing or the phone needs to be reflashed. Hope this helps.
