I have a Panasonic DVD/VHS Home Theater SC-HT833V. Everything is working except for my VHS. I can hear the VHS tape playing but cannot see the picture. The DVD works fine I can see and hear it.

Trace the TV audio back to its source - TV or Cable Box most likely. We have no way of knowing which. Substitute in another source to test the input.

If DVD audio works so does the basic HTS.

Panasonic Home Theater SC-HT80 "NO DISK"

The problem is that the DVD section is not working properly and can not detect the disk. Try a music CD. If that works, then the problem is either a dirty lens that is not allowing sufficient laser light through to read teh DVD or the optics are failing and need to be replaced. If you can post the model number, I can give you an estimate for the repair cost.
