Question about Samsung CLP 300 Laser Printer

Red light continuous no printing

I have emptied the tone waste cartridge but still cannot print. Have turned machine on and off a couple of times without success.

Either lookat the connection between the toner/drum unit or try inserting a little more firmly? worked for me

Kyocera EP470DN - Has Toner - Won't Print


MHHH, it seems as if its empty but it might be that it has humidified. Take out the toner and shake it side ways without compassion, then you slow down and shake it gently a couple of times then install it at the drum. You can also verify if this is true if you take out the toner and watch the roller and see if its loaded with toner. If it looks shinny with almost no toner it what I just exposed. Luck

Help! My machine won't copy or print


check the old cartridge was empty or it was just showing wrong indication.( flashing ).

The printer is suddenly reporting all ink cartridges are empty when they are not.


High probability of a main board electronics failure and/or waste ink chamber is full. It is probably cheaper and quicker to just replace the machine

Paper does not feed.

If paper is not installed, load it and then press the <Black> or <Color> button. When paper is installed, check each of the following items and try printing again.

1. Confirm only recommended paper is installed.
2. Confirm paper is installed properly.
3. Confirm the maximum number of sheets in the auto sheet feeder is within the paper limit mark.
4. Clean the paper feed roller to resolve the error.

Remove the jammed paper.
If paper jams frequently occur, check the following:

1. Confirm there is no foreign material inside the machine.
2. Confirm only recommended paper is installed.
3. Confirm paper is installed properly.
4. Confirm the maximum number of sheets in the auto sheet feeder is within the paper limit mark.

An ink cartridge is empty.
To cancel printing, press the <Stop/Reset> button.
To continue printing, press <Black> or <Color> button.
After printing completes, replace the empty ink cartridge.
Printing with an empty ink cartridge may cause the machine to malfunction.

The ink cartridge(s) is not installed. / The ink cartridge(s) cannot be recognized.

The ink cartridge may not be installed properly, or an unsupported ink cartridge may be installed.
Install a recommended ink cartridge.

Make sure to install both ink cartridges even when you set the machine to use only one ink cartridge in printing.
If one of the ink cartridges is missing, this error can occur.

The machine cannot communicate with the connected camera.
Disconnect the cable between the machine and the camera to clear the error.
Check the following items, then try printing again.

1. Confirm that the camera you are using supports PictBridge or Canon Bubble Jet Direct.
If the camera does not support either one, the machine cannot print directly from the camera.
2. Set the camera in PictBridge print mode before it is connected to the machine. This is required before printing for some cameras that support PictBridge.
Please refer to the camera instructions for more information about procedures required before and after connection to the machine.

Re-connect the cable between the camera and the machine.

I replaced my black ink cartridge and the printer will not print. I tried shaking the new cartridge. I purchased an Office Depot cartridge #TO529


Ink is a lubricant for the print heads. Some color ink is used even if you only print in black or vice versa. If you printed with a color missing, you could destroy that print head from the friction of running without ink to lubricate it. That's why most printers won't allow you to print with a color missing even if you aren't using it.

If you allow a color to go empty, the residual ink in the head could clog and become permanently blocked. You would never be able to print that color again. So always replace ink cartridges as soon as they are empty.

Leaving your printer on takes very little power. Every so often the printer sends a signal to cycle the ink in the heads so it doesn't clog. If you turn your printer off, the next time you turn it on it will do a cleaning which wastes a lot of ink. The excess ink is soaked up by the waste pad beneath the printer. When the waste pad is full, the printer stops working. Unless you want to spend more than the cost of the printer or waste a lot of time on a messy cleanup you will end up throwing the printer out. So shutting it off actually shortens its life.

If you leave the printer off for extended periods of time, the ink in the heads will clog and you will have to throw the printer away. Someone I know with a Canon (though this can happen with any ink-jet) had to have the heads replaced twice within the first few months before the Canon tech told her to stop turning it off. Since then it has worked perfectly for over a year.

How to clear blocked print heads:
-leave the printer on for a day
-run several head cleanings and print the nozzle check pattern
-if that doesn't fix it, remove the cartridge(s) from the blocked head and drop alcohol where the ink enters the printer.
-reinsert the cartridges
-run one head cleaning
-wait about an hour then run some head cleanings.
-dip the print heads in Isopropyl Alcohol overnight, which you can buy from chemist

If after that still doesn't work, your heads may be clogged to the point where they need repair or replacement, which will probably cost more than a new printer.

Printer stops when printing should begin with red light in status


There is a few reasons that cause the status light to turn red, paper jam, paper empty, toner cartridge empty, cover open and waste toner cartridge full. The PC Smart panel utility should give you an exact fault condition. Hope this helps.

Emptying waste tone cartridge


You need to replace the waste toner bottle (packaged with a new toner cartridge) you can't just empty it. There is a photo sensor that "reads" through a window of the waste bottle. The sensor could be dirty. Clean the slits with a q-tip.

Not printing, making me crazy


A paper jam has occurred. To solve the
problem, see “Clearing Paper Jams” on
page 6.3.
• The front or top cover is opened. Close the
front or top cover.
• There is no paper in the tray. Load paper
in the tray.
• The waste toner container is not
installed or full. Check the container.
• Your system has some problems. If this
problem occurs, contact your service
representative.
  • Also i can indicate that the Toner Cartridges are empty and need replaced with Genuine Samsung Cartridges
