is it easy to fix a thermostat on a LG fridge. When rang the service centre and asked whether i could fix it myself if i got the part, the ladys comment was are you a fridge mechanic. But i have fixed alot of things and wondering if this is easy or needs a professional.

My Hotpoint larder fridge, an RLA 64 or RLM 64 has started freezing everything.....even the milk. Anyone know how to fix this please?

Should be prtty easy the wires can go either way, and just follow the bulb to install in same position

My Hotpoint RLFM171P 6' Larder Fridge is running constantly. I am in the process of replacing the thermostat but wonder if this fridge has a defrost timer and if so where it might be located.

If the fridge is overcooling it could be the thermostat. If the defrost panel is permanently switched on, overcooling might not be noticed but the condenser will become quite hot.

If running continuously, there is no overcooling and the condenser remains cool, either the compressor is defective or the refrigerant has leaked away.

I have a hotpoint future RL175 larder fridge water kept gathering below vegetable drawer and then leaked everywhere. Got the seal on the door fixed and now it is freezing at the back of the fridge

If you get water under the salad drawers it indicates that
(1) your drain could be blocked or
(2) your door seal is leaking

How do you stop ice building inside, at the back of fridge model Beko LA87 Larder fridge

It can be 2 things. One is that the thermostat is broken but then it will also freeze your food. The other reason is that it has lost part of its gas charge due to a leak on the system causing the unit not to reach temperature thus not switching of on the thermostat and building ice inside. Normally it is not economically viable to fix the unit.

I was told that it ispossible for a snall pin in the thermostat to stick and that vigorously turning the knob up ad down a few times might well unstick the pin
