You have a defect in the convergence circuit. Both chips will need replaced and possibly a resistor or two. Chip part numbers are STK392-110. Typical repair runs around $350
First I would check to see if you may have shorted the STK ICs pins when you soldered them in. There may be more than one short, so check them carefully.
Next I would check to see if that circuit uses ant fuses or pico fuses on the supply lines to those ICs.
Good luck.
no picture condition could be caused by a problem in the horizontal deflection circuit or a power supply failure. A horizontal deflection problem often are followed by open fuses due to shorted components such as a h.o. transistor ofcourse there are a lot more componentd that constitute this circuit. Another no picture condition could be caused by defective convergence power amps. these amps usually give an clear indicator when they are about to quit(color curved or missaligned, double color images etc.) this is a common problem with projection tvs and that is where I would tell the tv tech to start looking.
hi, convergence circuit has failed, will need a tech or someone very proficient at solder work to replace your convergence ic`s & possible support parts, if your that person re-post and i`ll try to help ya, video-tek
Here is the setup copde page http://universal.dev.efocus.nl/?pag=54. I didn't see that model remote listed but many times the remote manufacturer will use the same codes.... So look at other remote codes for Hitachi and see which one works.
i replaced the ic's on the video convergence board ,wasnt hard . they were STK392-110 amplifiers , they had no heat sink paste on them ! everything else checked out fine
Unplug the TV from the ac wall outlet for about 4 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. If it still has a double image then tell me if it's affecting the menu screen from the TV (not the cable menu). And is the double image in red and blue?
