Question about Alesis TransActive Mobile PA System Speaker System for iPod TRANSACTIVE

My Alesis Interactive Mobile Amp seems to have a dead battery. I was keeping an eye on the charge lights, and when it went from 3 green lights down to 1, I plugged it in to charge the battery back up. Surprisingly, it went back to 3 lights in only a few minutes - I'm guessing because the battery capacity had decreased to almost nothing. Now it runs fine when plugged in, but on battery the power light, but does not amplify. Does this mean the battery is dead? How do I replace it? Thank you!

    Edit - I meant to say, when running on battery, the power light comes on, but the amp doesn't give any sound.

Change the battery, its quiet easy, but anyhow, now warrenty whatsoever!

you need:
a) one hex screwdirver size 5mm
b) 1 phillips screwdriver size 2
c) 1 replacement battery, maintenance free lead battery block, 123V 7.0AH Type 1270
d) some pieces of 1mm thick foam rubber (4 Strips 150mm, 4 strips 65 mm and 4 strips 95mm, 8-10mm wide would be original, but quiet anything would do it)
e) some glue
f) depending on your expertnes, 20 to 40 minutes time.
... yes thats all.

here we go

DISASSEMBLY
1. lay the unit on to back
2. unscrew the edge plates on the front side (4 pieces, 3 screws each, hex)
3. remove the three edge protectors
4. unscrew the front panel (8 screws, phillips)
5. pull the frontpanel gently up by 2 cm (aprox 1 inch), will be enough
6. lift the grill without bending and remove it
7. unscrew the main speaker (4 screws, phillips)
8. carefully lift up the main speaker
9. look thru the hole, you will see the battery, mounted by 4 screws (phillips again). Unscrew
10. unplig 2 battery leads
11. lift out te battery

ASSEMBLY

1. glue some of the foam rubber arround the new battery, take tie old battery as sample.
2. slide in the battery
3. connect the leads to the battery, the red goese to te red marked pole. Importand
4. Mount the battery holder 4 screws phillips
5. slied in the speaker, mout it wit 4 screws, phillips
6. mount the grill without bending
7. siled the frontpanel back into position and screw ist (8 screws, phillips)
8. bring the edge protectors back into position
9. Mount the edge plates (3 hex screws each)
10. put it back on the weels and load your battery. Testrun.
11. have a beer for me and enyou your music.

Hi testing battery voltage will not give an accurate reading on battery condition U need a BATTERY LOAD TESTER.it will check the condition & give U a true reading on there condition ,..if batteries r good the next thing to check is the control box the charger circuit runs into the control then to the batteries if control box is faulty this could b the problem .,with youre charger not charging . Mine works when plugged in, but dead when not plugged. Found fuse, subtly hidden in lower part of AC power receptacle; pried out with small screw driver. Looked good & passed ohmmeter check. I loved the beast when it functioned. It spent a year in the garage; it didn't work when I brought it in. Charge light on for 8 seconds after plugging in, then off.

Battery not holding charge on Alesis transactive pa system. Power cord connected and keeps turning off.
If the battery is old, say three years, it may be worn out. Fully discharging batteries or using them beyond where they have noticeable loss of power results in reverse charging the weakest cell which then often shorts rendering the battery un-rechargeable.

PHONE IS DEAD WON'T COME ON
If the mobile phone does not switch on, it is called a dead mobile.
It can be due to many reasons
1. Water damage
2. Fall down
3. Not used for a long time ( Mostly battery is down)


(1) Check the Battery. It should show 3.7 volts or as written on the battery.

(2) Check the Battery Connector
Check two things (a) Voltage coming or not (b) shorting
Note : If there is shorting then clean the circuit in ultrasonic cleaner (Remove display, camera, etc before putting it in ultrasonic cleaner )
Clean the circuit with a soft brush and make it dry with a hair dryer or ****er.
If the shorting doesn't go it may be due to shorting in an ic,capacitor or circuit. if shorting is in ic u can check it by attaching a battery then press the on-off switch keep the battery for 10-15 seconds. after that remove the battery and check which ic becomes hot. Reball or replace that ic. If shorting is in circuit it must be removed by ultrasonic cleaner
Note - The circuit is made of three layers. if there is shorting in the middle layer it cannot be removed
(3) Check the On/Off switch & voltage at on-off switch
Note - Connect a charger. If charging is shown on display then the problem is with the on/off switch or software problem

(4) Try flashing the mobile.

(5) If flashing cannot be done then there is hardware fault we first dry solder the Flash IC & RAM IC and check in the Software. if flashing cannot be done then we dry solder/reball/replace flash ic & RAM ic.After that dry solder/reball/replace Power IC, Network IC, Crystal, CPU :D:D

After not using the Amp for 6 months, I plugged in the amp to fully charge the battery, after the battery charged to 3rd green light, I proceeded to unplug amp and play wile iPod played, it soon after...
the system has burned out you can have it repaired but depending on the damage i would replace it

If after you do all that is asked of you by the instructions and the watch still will not run as it should, contact Citizen and get a return authorization. My Sky Hawk was dead dead dead. I returned it to them and they got it running and it is still running these several years later. Of course, today I keep it where it can get light daily. In my case, there was no charge for this service, which is not to say yours will be the same. Ask them in your e-mail to them. In my case, it didn't make any difference, I had to get my $500.00 watch working again even if it cost some amount of $.

Battery will not keep a charge.
Get a 2 amp charger and charge the battery fo 3 hours or so. While the battery is charging,check the fuses and check the wiring harness connections between the flywheel and the battery.

Start the bike and rev it up. Use a DC voltmeter to check the battery voltage while running. The voltmeter should read 14+ volts. If not then there may be a problem with the stator.

My Alesis transactive mobile PA system will not charge. I plug it in and the charge light does not come on???
Surprisingly, there is a little compartment just in the outtlet intake in the AMP, and the 10amp fuse was burned. I replace the fuse for a 10amp new one and everything work great. It charge. The little green light of charging, turns on.
