Hello, it is better to remove the unit from the window and place it out side, this way when you spray the water and you can be sure it does damage any components. When spraying the water dont use too much pressure.

How To Charge Your Vehicle's Air Conditioner

You will need a charging hose with a gauge, and a can or three of R134a refrigerant. Wear eye protection and handle with care.
  1. To begin, you need to adjust the ambient temperature arrow on the gauge to the approximate temperature of the air outside, if possible with your gauge.
  2. Turn on the vehicle, and turn the A/C to high.
  3. Attach the blue charging hose to the low-pressure line, or the bigger of the two metal hoses.
  4. Once attached, check the gauge. If the indicator is in the green area, your system is fine. If it is below the green area, screw on a can of refrigerant and charge the system until the gauge reads in the green.

Steps that a tech will do if you take your car to a shop:

• A temperature sensor is inserted into the AC vent and the system's efficiency is tested.
• The high-pressure side of the system is connected to the recycling-recharging testing machine, then the low-pressure side.
• The machine reclaims and stores the refrigerant. The system is then run under a vacuum for 30 minutes to test for leaks. This process also removes accumulated moisture.
• If all is well, the refrigerant is reintroduced into the system, and topped off as required.
• The sight glass on the evaporator is literally a window into the AC system. If the window is not clear, or bubbles are visible, this can indicate system trouble.

I have a ARP-900e portable AC it drains unnesscessary water without the drain stopper off. what might be the problem?

Air conditioners are dehumidifiers as well it's just part of the process so if you are running the a/c in an area of high humidity it will build up an excess amount of water causing it to overflow and run out my suggestion would be to get a hose that will secure in where the stopper goes and either run it outside through the window kit if you have the unit higher than the level of your window or you can run the hose in a 5 gal bucket and just be sure to check it regularly so it doesn't overflow

Model 3812-972 MPPD-14HRN1-BH9

air conditioners are in effect heat pumps
that is they pump the hot air in the room via a gas to the outside area
when that outside are is still inside the room then that hot air is just recirculated
so if you want to heat your room the system is reversed so that you need the hot air outside pumped back into the room
the hot air is provided by the condenser which is now the evaporator in the room as the roles have been reversed so you will have to put the unit in a door way or use the ducting hoses to go out a window

Remove exhaust hose

U need that hose to direct the warm air outside the area to be cooled. If you remove it, the hot exhaust will stay in the room being cooled and negate the cold air being directed into the room.

That is why regular room AC units are mounted on window sill. Cold air in, hot air out.

Tell me how to install windoow room AC in my bed room

There should be a frame around the unit that would fit into part of the open area once window is open. Then you would place the unit in the opening to where it has a slight tilt to the outside for water drainage. Close the window as tight as possible to the unit and fill gaps with plywood or other material that would keep the window area secure and keep bugs etc out... SOme caulk around the unit if its permanent

The dealership replaced my AC evaporator component because the hose had been draining water on the passenger side floor board. Since replacing the system, my AC doesn't blow as cold (on normal setting),...

Make sure you have it on recirculate. Need to know how much freon is in the car with a gauge. If the outside temp is above 96 degrees you must run on max to get the car cool. Do you have tint on your windows. Window Tint keeps your car 33% cooler and you will not have to run your ac on max.

Just purchased a 15000 btu 110 Frigidaire window unit and we love it. However, since the rear of the AC is actually on the back porch, the water from the AC runs down the wall and on to the floor. We could...

window units slide into an outside frame section
there is a hose attachment area at the back of the ac unit proper that a hose can be attached to
and there should be a section in the frame that allows the hose to be fitted to that ac unit proper
the unit should be mounted so that it actually slopes slightly down at the rear so water can collect at that drain point
there are adaptors that should have come in the packing box for hose attachment
if not, many people use white poly piping or electrical conduit with suitable elbows to collect the water at the hole and pipe it back to the wall into a bucket and the collected water used to water plants and gardens
