Hoover Flair S2220 cleaner w/power nozzle disassembly instructions

I removed the Four cover screws on the bottom to get access to the belt but the cover dosn't come off. I can't locate any clips or whatever that would release the front of the cover and I hesitate ti use force. How do I disassemble/reassemble the unit?

With the head flipped upside down, take a flat tipped screw driver and carefully pry up the rollers on the front the head. Underneath, you'll find a screw. Remove the screw under each roller, and the front cover will come off with ease. The rollers are just friction fit.

I broke the joint between the power nozzle and the upright piece. I can buy the power nozzle that has connections for both ends. But I can not figure out how to get the broken piece off of the upright. It looks like it just has a snap connection but I am afraid to push it too much, be wrong and break it. Do I push up or in on that small piece. Thanks suzanne

How do I change the belt on my Shark Liftaway

I have the Shark Professional Life-away. Maybe the same, or similar to yours. If its the same, there are 8 screws that hold everything together.

You probably found the two under the small rubber rollers located at the front bottom cover. There is one more hidden ***** under the "Hose Access" cover. Just pinch the two clips together (you may have to work these clips a bit to open the door) and you will see the last ***** inside.

The top cover should then lift off without a problem, just unplug the LED light cable (remembering its orientation) and you can get to the cover for the beater brush. Hope this helps!

I have a Singer 478 sewing machine and need to replace the top gear on the verticle shaft. Is there a repair manual for doing this. There was not category expert on this so please direct to the correct...

This is an easy fix. a lot disassembly required, you will need to gain access through the belt side to the singer cover plate, four clips hold it on from the back side. Once that is off, two screw hold small access plate which is under the letters Sin, remove plate, rotate shaft to access screw through opening which holds Vertical Top Shaft Gear, Singer # 155819 in place. Remove bottom cover, locate belt pulleys (2), remove cam tensioner, with a hex wrench remove pulleys, this makes it easier to remove lower belt. with a long thin, blade screwdriver, loosen screw on gear (through small access cover), slide shaft downward Rand R gear, reverse process, done. Be sure you document removal, take pictures, mark references with marking pen. This makes reassembly easy. I just replaced mine, I am handy but not an expert, hope this helps you...

Cant open roller assembly roller not spinning i dont see anything in the way

Turn the power head over so the bottom is facing up. On the bottom towards the back there are two holes (one on each side) where you can get to the access screws. Remove the two screws (you'll need a phillips screwdriver). With the screws removed you can now remove the top cover from the base by pulling out on the two clips on each side of the power head. With the top cover removed you can get to the belt and roller brush. If you need a belt for this model you can get it here:

Changing belt on u5063-930

ok its fairly simple the belt you need is 38528-040. Start by first removing the little slide button from the height adjustment switch. just pull strait up and it will pop off. it will need to be out of the way. turn over the vacuum and there will be 2 spring clips that release the bottom cover and give you access to the brushroll. now you must remove the top cover. there are 4 clips, 2 on each side. Use a flat head screw driver to pry one clip at a time, it should pop fairly easy. now that you have all the clips free release the handle assy and the hood will lift off. inspect brushroll for wear and free rotation. if its bad replace it. now install the belt on the brushroll first, install brushroll and pass belt through belt channel. Stretch belt with your hands until you successfully get it on the motor shaft. (Its supposed to be pretty tight i guarantee its the propper belt) rotate brushroll to properly align belt then snap top cover, and bottom brushroll cover back in place and dont forget to put the small button back on top of the hood.

How do you change the belt on a bissell 5770

The Bissell 5770/Healthy Home vacuum is actually fairly easy to change the belt on. The main thing you will need is a T20 screwdriver with at least a 4 inch shaft and a Phillips-head screwdriver. Four of the six T20 screws on the bottom plate are easy to locate, the last two are set deeper into the vacuum near the wheels. Once you have taken all six T20 screws out you will have to release the lock preventing the vacuum from tilting back so you can easily remove the top plate and gain access to the brush assembly. With the top plate off you will notice four Phillips-head screws holding a cover plate over the brush, simply remove them and you have full access to the belt.

Four screws hold the bottom plate in place. Turn the vac upside down and remove the screws that hold the cover(bottom plate) over the brush roll in place. Remove the plate and you are there.

How do you put a Hoover runabout belt on vacuum

I found this on another site and it worked for me. RonL

Looking at the brush, remove the two screws from the black plate holding the brush. There are two clips that holds this plate once you remove the screws. This should be easy to remove with a flat type screw driver. Now is the tricky part to remove the top cover of the vacuum so you can access the compartment to put the belt on. The whole top part of this vacuum comes off. If you look above the part where black plate was, there are two more clips on the top left and top right hand corner. These two hold one end of the top cover. It is not as simple as pushing the clip to one end to slide out. You have to find a gap between the edge of top cover and bottom structure(right next to each clip) and shove the flat screw driver in and push the top cover away from the bottom structure and push down the top cover. You will notice that there are invisible hinges between the two which locks in the top cover.

Do the same procedure for the bottom right and left edges(right next to each end of the brush) of the vacuum and separate the two(bottom structure and top cover) out using the flat type screw driver..
