MY philips tv model number 55PL9773/17 WAS TURNING OFF THE SCREEN AND LEAVING THE AUDIO ON FOR ONE MINUTE. THEN THE YELLOW LIGHT STAYED ON. THEN THE LIGHT TURNED OFF. thEN I TURNED ON WITH THE REMOTE AND THE YELLOW LIGHT TURNED ON AND A FEW SECONDS LATER CHANGED TO THE GREEN LIGHT AND THE TV TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BETWEEN 10 AND 30 IT DID THE SAME THING. NOW IT IS OFF WITH A BLINKING RED LIGHT PERMANENTLY ON. TO TURN IT OFF I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL. I REPLACE THE LAMP A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IT IS FINE.
Hi, this is heat related. you will need to replace the fans in this unit. this will fix this issue. also, inspect the ballast in the lamp area. if it clicks when you are powering up more than 3 times, the high heat may have damaged thiscircuit that provides the power to the lamp.
with my projection tv , i have a Mitsubishi dlp, the screen went black and a red light flashed it was the bulb that had to replaced i dont know if that maybe your problem.
