Will a Samsung 40" - 42" HD TV hook up and work

Hi my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see youhave DISH Network HD the hdmi does not work. Depending on what the TV is set to;480, 480i, 720, 1080i will depend on what you have your receiver set to. Afteryou check your TV settings press the buttons of Menu-6-8 and it will take youto HDTV Setup. If you have HD TV it is best to hook up the DVD player separately. The easiest way to connect this is to find the cable going from the receiver to the TV and disconnect it from the TV. Connect this cable to the back of the DVD player where it says "in" or "input". Next take another cable and connect it from the DVD player output to the TV.

To get the functionality you're looking for you'll need to to take the cable running from your DVR output and connect it to the input on your DVD recorder. Next you want to connect a cable from your DVD recorder output and connect it to your TV. If this is an HD set up you want to use HD Cables for all of the connections.

Next take another cable and connect it from the DVD player output to the TV. Once you've done this make sure your TV set is tuned to the proper input or source. Your DVD's should play when the receiver is off, however, you'll probably need your DVD player on to get the DISH signal.

Fire the TV Tech! Your problem is the adjustment to the color wheel timing. To correct this: With TV OFF -> on remote, press MUTE, 1, 8, 2, POWER. The TV will come up in service mode: ( Left / Right arrow keys for item selection, Up / Down to change values, Menu to return to previous menu, Power to exit Service Mode)

Enter the submenu of item 1. DDP1011. Now, adjust item 4. INDEX DELAY to correct the "clay facing" problem you are having . Default value is 47.

You should have a "problem" image paused to check you work if possible. I hope this was of some assistance, best wishes.

if you have a 625 receiver your no going to get hd from this receiver

DO you have manuals for all the units listed?
If not , try the Samsung consumer site.
It would take me quite a while to figure out your situation even with manuals and I have a business to run besides.

Also, ask some questions of Tech Support at Samsung..Let them KNOW how much you spent on their stuff.

In order for you to receive HD broadcasting you must have a HD-TV, otherwise you wont get the picture in HD. Also I should point out that you need to make sure that the signal itself is being broadcast in HD.

How can I get surround sound to work on my tv. When I pull up my menu and go to audio the SRS Trusurround XT is not in bold so I cant figure how to connect it so I can have the surround sound coming from the system and not from the tv. Please help.
