Question about JVC Televison & Video
A couple of things I might suggest. Be sure your TV is clean around the air vents on the back/sides. Good circulation is a must. Also, Be sure you are connected to a good surge protection system. Do not unplug the tv to cut power, always let the tv cycle down. I f you are in an area where you loose power a lot, invest in a good battery backup system (like the one you would use on a computer). A lamp has a limited lifespan, so don't let the tv just run all day for background noise. Hope some of this helps.

SOURCE: Power LED blinks red
it is a bad fan. it also could be a power supply. Quite often the real problem is dirt clogging up the fan(s) to the point that they need to be replaced. Operation of the set in a dirty environment is not a good idea

SOURCE: tv won't turn on 4 blinking led
Red led blinks 4 times is an error code that shows that fan is not running in tv, check fans connections and make sure all are plugged properly.

4 times blinking light indicates problem with exhaust fan in KDS-R50XBR1 and possible causes are as follows:
-Fan 1-4 power is not supplied. (ASU board)
-Fan connector is not attached securely.
-Fan caught wires or harnesses.
Please check exhaust fan in tv, it is located at lower right of tv looking at rear of tv.
