I recently added some songs to my player, which had a lot of songs on it. Once i went to listen to them every song was gone. I tried to re sync them and its telling me i cant because they are already on the player. How can i view them then?
Recovery
Mode for Philips' GoGear Open
the Philips Device Manager (Start à
All Programs à Philips Digital
Audio Player à SAXXX à Philips Device Manager) and
click on the “Repair” tab. Then click on
the “Repair” button to start the repair process. Most of the time, when your player is in that
state, the Device Manager will not recognize that your GoGear is plugged
in.If this is the case: Disconnect the
player from the PC, and make sure the mp3 player is turned off. Hold in the
volume + button on the mp3 player, and reconnect the player to your pc while
holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + for 10-15 seconds
until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up. It should recover your
device if there isn't anything internally wrong with the player. Warning: this
procedure will result in your songs being erased off the player, so they will
have to be reloaded. -Tha Mp3 Doctor

You might have multiple issues. On the one hand, the songs you have tried to load could be in the wrong format - I know that the specs say that it reads WMA's, but there are many, many asterisks behind it's WMA playback ability. I would only load songs in Mp3 format.
Additionally, your DB is corrupt. Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager for your model # at www.usasupport.philips.com, and then click the "Update" function once it is installed. The update wil lresolve your issue.
I bought scan disk mp3 but once i have connected it with my laptop to add new songs , i dont know what happen now it is blank all data is lost i can now only listen radio through it songs are not adding into it. as all dta is lost or formated.
It sounds like you have your IPOD set to automatically sync to your itunes library instead of being set to manually select the songs. If you have it set to automatically sync then anytime you plug your ipod in with itunes open then only the songs that are in your Itunes library will be on your IPOD after you disconnect it from the computer. If you would have set it to manually sync then you would have had to choose which songs to put on your IPOD and also which to take off. If you had it set to automatically sync then I am sorry to inform you, but your songs are gone from your IPOD (and if you have it set to delete the song from the computer as well as the library then the song is gone from your laptop too)
This cold be a serious problem, a memory leak and this problem cannot be fixed. but before i saw to get rid of it, try taking it to bestbuy of a place like that and have them take a look at it.
Thanks for the Problem well your problem is that you are trying to Transfer your music from the MP3 Player to the Computer which you need to do. As far as deleting your Songs and things like that there is no need. Which you need to do is always try to back up your Music. That is why a lot of people with there MP3 Players always have there players freeze or be corrupted due to being not having your Music backed up regularly
Format your player and re-transfer your songs. The best way to format the player is by changing the player to MSC, then connect it to your computer and open My Computer and right-click and format the player remove the quick format then click start. :D
Check the used space on the device. (Right-click the drive letter in 'My Computer' and select properties). The e130 has 512MB of internal memory and you will be able to compare the amount of used space listed here against the amount listed when you view the songs in a folder. If it's different, try right-clicking the drive letter again and 'format'. This will erase all data on the device, allowing for a fresh start.
