I am not sure this is exactly my tv but it looks the same. How do I stretch the screen? A tech was here hooking up a dvr and when he left my screen does not fill the tv. It says it's on full. He said he would stretch it - the term he used. I cannot figure out how to do it. I have the panasonic remote and have tried all I can see.

Usually this is an indication of a failing capacitor in the vertical circuit. Have those been checked? I would look for 100ufd caps in the vertical circuit. Check with the tech.

there is no user adjustments for these. The service mode is what you need but more likely you need a new tv

Everything hooked up. Not able to get picture on TV screen. Tech said it may be a bad DVR. Switched that out and still no picture. Are we missing a step somewhere or is this a bigger problem.

If you have a cable out on the dvr to the tv in video it should display. You may have to try a channel like video or accessory depending on the tv. If there is a input on the remote try that and go through the different input selections

How to reset the dvr-r box and remote when the tv is black and the same the boxes

You have an HD TV right? Has it worked before now? Make sure the cables are going into the right in and out on TV and dvr-r and make sure the cables are secure. Now make sure your TV is turned to the right setting or right channel to view dvr-r make sure dvr-r has cable/satalite cable going to in cable port and the out cable on the dvr-r is going to the TV (the port may say beside it what setting TV needs to be on to view it if not refer to your TV manual) if smart TV that recognizes new hardware unhook the port and turn TV on without it and then go see if its listed in your activity menu...if still listed try and figure out how to edit it and remove it then turn TV off hook back up and turn it back on and it should recognize it and you name it and set it all up and see if that resolves the issue. No make or model of either electronics make it very difficult to help but I hope I said something that makes sense and it works. Good luck

Have older tv, cable ready only. Hooked dvr to it...cable in dvr then to tv, but cant get setup to come in on any station. Tried both E1 & E2, get nothing

You will need to manually tune a new program channel in to the frequency that the DVD outputs at. It will tell you the frequency it is in the DVD manual. It will be Analogue TV rather than Digital TV option on TV so you need to tune in an analogue channel manually. Also make sure you use an antenna cable at 75 ohms impedance rather than a video cable. They look exactly the same but electronically they are quite different and a video cable will not work from RF out DVD player to RF Antenna In on TV.

I have dish network 622 and 722 dvr receivers. this same issue happens on both receivers. when i put the picture in picture screens side by side, one is in widescreen with the black bars above and below...

Justin Warshowsky,

There is no way to change the format once PIP is in use. Try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. I would also recommend making sure your formats on both TV's are set correctly.

If the problem persists, send me an email at [email protected] and I can look into submitted a report to our Operations team to check it out.

After it is hooked up, it should have a white screen saying "searching for satellite signal." After fifteen or twenty minutes, it will go to a black screen saying the same thing in a blue box. Once you are there, you can prerss the LIST button on the remote and record and copy your selected shows. This is assuming you have a newer DVR. Model R15 or higher. thanks keep updated

My sony tv problem is that the picture is stretch horizontally..

If you have a DVR too, there is a pound (#) button on the beside the zero on the DVR remote that stretches my screen off and on. Try that.

I have two Sharp Flat Screen TV model # LC-26SB14U. One is hooked up to a regular Dish Network HD receiver. The other is hooked up to a HD DVR receiver. Both are hooked up to the same Phillips DVD player....

if you using the component input on both tvs I will check the settings on the receivers, "HD setup", the difference is because the settings are set one on 480i and the other on 1080i

Screen stretched on JVC AV-28WT5EKS TV

There are some parts that have failed in the horizontal scan amplifier. You will have to have the set serviced by a TV service tech to determine the exact failed parts and have them replaced.

Xbox 360 stretched screen out and cannot fix it now

Have you checked the aspect ratio?? May be that when the kids had the X-Box hooked up they simply changed the aspect to zoom.
