WD14070SD6 LG Frontloading washing machine showing Error code LE. Rested motor as instructed but still not spinning.

Hi Adrianna,

Perhaps you have washed too big of a load causing the motor to lock up.

This is from LG:

"An LE error code on the washer's display indicates that the motor is locked, possibly due to a heavy wash load.
Large and heavy sized loads will put a strain on the motor, causing the LE code to occur. Performing a reset on the washer will normally resolve this error with a reduced load size. But if the error code displays on every washing cycle, the unit will require a repair service."

Have you tried restting the machine?

https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/le-error-code-CT00000305-1337701712239

If you have done all this, and still not working, will probably to call a repairer to come out and have a look at your motor.

Hope this helps!

My front loader washing machine suddenly stop working at there is an LE sign

LG, the electronics and appliances conglomerate, manufactures a variety of high-efficiency washing machines. Whether you have a front- or top-loading model, your LG washer is equipped with an error-monitoring system. When the LE code appears in your display, it indicates a problem with the motor. The problem can be related to several different issues. In order to clear the error, determine which issue is at hand.
New Installation The LE error code may appear in an LG washer's display if installation issues exist. It indicates a miscommunication between the wash motor and the control panel. In most cases, you can simply reset the washer to solve the problem. Unplug your washer before pressing and holding the Start/Pause button for approximately five seconds. Plug it back in and set the washer to a rinse-spin cycle to see if the code has cleared. If the code reappears in the display, contact LG at the phone number in your owner's manual for assistance.
Thermal Overload Protection Your washer may display the LE code if the thermal overload protection circuit in the motor has been tripped. The feature is designed to prevent the motor from overheating and causing permanent damage to the washer. To clear the error code, the motor must cool down. Allow the washer to sit for approximately half an hour before restarting the cycle. If the code reappears, the motor may have an issue that requires a service call. Unplug your washer and contact LG.
Excessive Suds If your washer detects excessive soap suds in the drum, the LE error code can appear. Typically, excessive sudsing occurs when you use too much high-efficiency detergent or a detergent that's not specifically high-efficiency detergent. Always follow the guidelines in your owner's manual and on the detergent label to determine what type of detergent, and how much, to use. To get rid of soap suds in the drum and clear the code, unplug your washer and let it sit for a half hour so the suds can dissolve. Plug the washing machine back in and turn it on, hitting the Spin Speed button and selecting "No Spin." Press the Start/Pause button to turn on a drain only cycle. When the cycle is completed, remove the load from the tub. Start a rinse-spin cycle to clear away any residue. You may need to repeat the cycle to remove all of the suds.
Load Issues The LE error code can appear in an LG washer's display due to certain load conditions. If you are washing a large load, don't choose a gentle cycle like Delicates, Hand Wash, Perm Press or Wool/Silk. Reserve them for smaller loads. To reset the washer, unplug it and press the Start/Pause button for five seconds before plugging it back in. The LE code can indicate that the washer has been overloaded; large loads and bulky items can strain the motor. Remove a few items from the washer to reduce the load size and restart the cycle. If the code appears again, let the washer sit for a half-hour so the motor has time to cool down before you restart the cycle.

I've got an LE code on the front of my washer

This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Are there soap suds visible in the drum?
Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

LG error code is 0E...what would be the problem

Washing machine has an LE error code --> Is this a new installation?
In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.
Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?
Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and run a test rinse and spin cycle.

Has the washer been overloaded?
Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart the cycle.

LE error on LG wm1814CW

My wife and I had the same LE error on our LG washer intermittently in the past. We have already been down the road to replacing the Hall Sensor only to find the washer not spinning and displaying the LE error again. Here is what we have found to be the remedy: Being that the Hall Sensor is a "Position" Sensor, we made a conscientious effort after unloading the washer to place the drum in the same position as when it finished its spin cycle. It has now been about 3-4 months with NO "LE" ERROR on the washer!!! One other thing - if you currently have the error displaying, you will have to unplug the washer for at least 2 hours to erase the memory of the drum position. This way you start fresh with a good position. Just leave it unplugged overnight. Hope this helps out!
