I do not believe the part we need is plastic. It is a small part that fits on a medal circular plate in the top middle of the mircowave oven. Need price on this part.

    The model should be JVM140H01.

By mixing plate do you mean the ceramic plate? If so, the part number is WB39X75 and you can get it here.

Okay, I see now.

That would be the "stirrer blade assembly" part number WB2X9935.

It comes as an assembly, with the stirrer blade and what looks like a coupler.

GE sells it for $98, but you can get by searching for part # WB2X9935 here for only $55.61.

How can I remove a GE Spacemaker Microwave JVM62

Some older microwaves slid off the mounting plate. Try pulling it forward and see if it slides off. Some of them had screws that screwed into the back plate. Remove the grill panel and see if there are screws on each side.

Remove mounted GE Spacemaker Microwave JVM140K

There should be 2-3 screws thru the floor of the cabinet above the m/w that secure it in the front. Once those are removed the m/w will slide straight out on rails mounted to the wall plate.

Microwave won't heat up after something caught fire.

Sounds like the magnetron has failed. There are some high voltage circuits that feed the magnetron and you can potentially get hurt if you don't know what you are doing. Would recommend you have it serviced by a professional if you want it fixed, otherwise look for a new one since the cost of repair can come close to the price of a new microwave oven.

GE Profile spacemaker stopped heating all of a sudden everything else works. vent turning plate etc.Model # JVM1660CB Serial # F2909188S should I fix or buy new one...and which is the new model?

You may have a fuse that burned out. not everything runs on the same circuit . If its not the fuse than its probably the mega-tron, and that's big money. Check the fuse first. good luck DFD

Can I temporarily run the microwave without the plate rotating?

Probably not. The plate turns to make sure the food gets cooked evenly. You can take the plate out if you need a stationary object in the oven.

Removal of GE Spacemaker Microwave oven

1. Unplug the microwave. The plug is probably in a receptacle that is in the cabinet above the microwave, or in the wall above the shelf that is above the microwave.

2. Remove the two (or three) screws that go straight down through the bottom of the cabinet, or the shelf, into the top of the microwave. Have help in holding the microwave when you do this, as the front of the microwave will be able to fall down when the screws are removed.

3. Allow the front of the microwave to rotate down a little, then lift the back of the unit up about 1/2" to 1". At this point, the microwave will be disconnected from the mounting plate on the wall, so you can move it forward and carry it away.
